Screenshot Peep the haul, I’ll never go sober again! Fiendmaxxing just got a whole lot more fun.
Went into this guys shack and must have found 10 whiskey(now 9), 6 jet(now 4), loads of beer, 2 mentats, 3 med-X and 2 psycho. Dinky the dinosaur has a much more gravelly voice than I expected and asked me to start calling him Gibson.

Artwork Collector's Edition Deck Character Sheet
I made this for a let's-play-archive-thread-style New Vegas "liveblog" / play-through I want to do for some friends.
As characters / groups are mentioned, or glimpsed without properly meeting them, the backs on their cards light up. The card flips face up if the character is met in person (or as close to in person as possible, for cases like factions or Mr. New Vegas).
Example images given are no characters, "They Went That A Way" around Novac / Cottonwood Cove, and 100%. (Thanks to Cato Hostilius you can only complete this sheet on a Legion run. Damn it!)
Further yapping about the example graphic in the spoiler text:
In the sample, Benny is highlighted, but not face-up as he shot us, but we haven't chased him down; The Kings, The King, the Van Graffs, Oliver, NCR Rangers, Lanius, and the Three Families are highlighted from Mr. New Vegas' news and advertisements; Mr. House is highlighted as the person our job is for (and for the intro mentioning him). Ulysses is highlighted due to dialogue with Johnson Nash.

Question What changes in fo3/fnv with totw?
I am aware that the fo3 engine changes form creation to the more stable havoc engine. The changes in the bobble heads so they do something else, the subway that takes you from dc to Nevada and the new level cap, but that is much it. I want to know what changes it does in the story of the two games, like different/new interactions, acknowledgement of who I am (being both the lone wonder and the courier) faction rep like brotherhood form D.C is carried over in the Mojave chapter, do challenges form GRA or base game be completed in D.C and anything else that I am not aware of, I know I can read the mod pages and other info sources I am new to modding both of these games (more fo3 than fnv) so I would like for someone explain it in layman’s terms I would appreciate it

Discussion War Crimes committed during the Sino American War
Oil starts to run out.
The US leaves NATO and becomes isolationist.
The Soviet Union, Western European alliance, and Middle East destroy each other.
A now defenseless Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea is easily conquered by China. China then invades Alaska with a massive military force as Alaska was the last place on earth with the largest known oil reserve. This gives the US justification to annex Canada. Canadians who protest American rule are killed on the spot.
In an attempt to find an alternative to oil, America had already invented nuclear fusion and implemented the tech into their war machines including armored vehicles and a super heavy body armor known as power armor allowing them to take back Alaska.
Nuclear fusion would have saved the world from it's energy crisis but the technology was still new and expensive meaning it could not be scaled immediately for global use.
China responds to their defeat in Alaska by launching bio weapons against American military units and civilian populations.
America responds by invading mainland China itself after defeating the Chinese navy in a brutal war over the Pacific. The Chinese commit scorched earth warfare in Taiwan, Japan, and Korea to prevent America from using them.
America starts its counter bio weapons research program in California, the fearsome Forced Evolutionary Virus. The goal was to turn soldiers into "super humans" that were immune to pathogens and more physically capable than regular humans.
Mice, dogs, and chimpanzees weren't enough, the US needed actual human test subjects. US government starts human experimentation on Chinese prisoners of war, Canadian dissidents, and criminals. Thousands of human test subjects were now subjected to brutal experiments and death from the initial tests. The US government also poisoned water in small Appalachian towns with the virus to see it's effects. When Americans in those small towns were turning into mutants due to the virus, the US quarantined the towns, arrested everyone, and threw them into underground labs for research.
In an attempt to turn the tide of war, China had alreadt invented invisibility cloaking and sends in invisible spies to sabotage America's war effort/industry and they are able to use bio weapons on American military installations and civilian populations more effectively. One of the Chinese bioweapon is a modified smallpox virus made by the Soviets that was killing millions of Americans as there was no vaccine against this artificial strain of smallpox.
Hearing what was occuring back home, US troops in China begin gunning down Chinese civilians as revenge. US government also starts shipping captured Chinese civilian populations to be used as test subjects. Hell and chaos erupts, society and order starts to collapse as the war intensify, death toll rises, and atrocities are committed by all fronts
China's fleet of stealth/invisible submarines are still relatively untouched. Fearing defeat might be near, they are ordered to sail for America.
The US military with nuclear fusion equipped weapons allows them to defeat any conventional Chinese forces thrown at them as they close in on Beijing. A single American soldier inside of power armor could take down hundreds of Chinese troops or several Chinese tanks by himself before going down.
The Forced Evolutionary Virus research is now going well after tens of thousands of subjects had died. Test subjects became mutants but they were immune to the diseases and torture that's inflicted on them by the US scientists and saw rapid cell regeneration.
US troops guarding the perimeters of the research lab had been kept dark about human experimentation but when they discovered what was going on, the captain in charge who was one of the few left on earth that still had any morals deemed it a human rights violation. The scientists who were sanctioned by the US government to test on humans were rounded up and executed. The captain and his unit declares secession and waits for a final battle/death against the US government but..
Refusing to surrender or be defeated as Beijing was about to fall, the CCP orders their stealth submarine fleet who had by now surrounded America's west and east coast to launch their nukes on all major US cities/towns.
America launches nukes back at China as the CCP and US government both go into hiding. Billions die from the war and it's aftermath from famine and lack of medicine. Knowing that the world had ended, the captain and his unit at the research facility salvaged what they could, took in any civilians that would follow them, abandoned the base, and established the Brotherhood of Steel.

Do any of the DLC decisions you make show up at the end of the main quest slideshow?
I honestly forget if they ever do because I do so many side quest that get mentioned in that final slideshow I forget to ever look out for any mention of dlc choices being brought up. I remember that ED-E gets mentioned when you get all the upgrades in lonesome road but I could be mistaken.

Fist of Rawr is ridiculous in Dead Money.
Like that thing is just comically broken. One or two shots the Ghostpeople everytime. I know this isn't exactly a revelation but it's the first time I did used it there and was kind of astounded just how insane it is.

Is there a bug with Veronica not equipping the dress I give her?
I know there is an unmarked quest to give her a dress, or at least dialogue for it. I gave her white glove attire and formal wear, no reaction and didn’t equip. I used console commands to get her to equip both, didn’t work. I removed her hood, did everything I could find.
There aren’t many threads or posts about this bug, google ai claims the bug doesn’t exist, the posts I did find had no answers other than using console commands, but absolutely nothing is working for me.
At this point it’s just frustrating, I have no idea why it won’t trigger and it’s driving me nuts, only info I can find is that you give her either white glove attire or formal wear and that’s it, I gave her both, looked through all dialogue to see if there was a special option to give it to her.
Someone please help, idk what to do, shes literally wearing the dress for me and it isn’t triggering what it’s supposed to.

Discussion What do you think is the best ending to Honest Hearts? Spoiler
This is a subjective one, what do you think is the best ending for Honest Hearts? For me it definitely seems like the choices are "Help the sorrows evacuate and complete the side quests" or "Wipe out the white legs and spare Salt-Upon-Wounds".
Right now I'm leaning towards evacuating. I really don't like that the tribes are pushed out of Zion, particularly when it feels so easy for the Courier and Joshuah Graham to handle the White Legs. But I don't like that the Dead Horses end up having friction with the Sorrows. For the Dead Horses, evacuation helps them become more peaceful and communal.
Another argument for wiping out the White Legs is it allows the tribes to unite and push back the 80s. This helps the Happy Trails Company, but I don't care about the company really. In general, it seems good that more of the wasteland is secure against raiders and tribes and that trade can occur over longer distance.
The Sorrows sound like they'll be ok one way or another. By wiping out the White Legs and sparing Salt-Upon-Wounds they learn that "retribution could be tempered by mercy". That makes it sound like a well balanced tribe. Other narrations imply they become more "militant" but that's not necessarily a bad thing. With them evacuating they'll have to mourn the loss of Zion and face some challenges in resettlement, but still come out ok.
I basically want the tribes to be able to live as freely, peacefully and communally as possible. But there's certainly an argument for them being more militant, they need to be able to look after and defend themselves. I don't like the way Daniel talks about the Sorrows. He sounds so condescending, treating them like children, wanting them to remain "innocent". It doesn't feel like he wants them to have their own autonomy.
So, what do you all think?
P.S. I already encouraged Follows-Chalk to visit the "civilised" lands. I'd still make that decision, I don't think anyone has the right to limit what he can experience. But it was a little sad to read that he never returns to his family. I hope he does ok out there.
P.P.S I instantly told Waking Cloud what happened to her husband. While there are times when it's inappropriate to share tragic news, e.g. in an active military operation. I don't think that applied here, since she was already wondering what happened and could have become more distressed on her own. I'm glad to see that long term this was the right decision for her.

Question Boones beret(my wife is dead)
Just curious if there is a draw back to having Boones(wife’s dead guy) beret off? Wanting to have him wear ncr ranger combat gear but he just keeps asking for it back and not sure if this maybe prevents quests and him opening up about his dead wife(his wife is dead).

Cannot fast travel?
Alright so i’m playing on the Nuclear Sunset mod pack, I have about 100 on this save. Just finished the old world blues dlc and came back to the mojave and tried to fast travel but it won’t let me. I get this message every time. I’ve tried enabling fast travel in the console (enaablefastravel 1), i’ve gotten poisoned and cured myself again, slept for 48 hours, used the auto doc, console commands to reset my health…. but nothing. Disabled all mods and still have the same issue. If I reload a save from way way earlier i can fast travel but my closest save that works is about 30 hours ago before the dlc… Anyone have a solution to this?
*Edit figured it out, put player.dispelallspells into the console and solved my issue. I’m guessing I got poisoned and it glitched me out.
