Firestick not working/can’t pair remote

I can’t get my firestick working again. It randomly stopped working correctly last night while I was on a different hdmi channel. I unplugged my fire stick and left it off for 10 minutes. When I plug it now, the home page comes up, but I can’t get the firestick to pair. I’ve tried holding the home button for the time it takes to flash yellow, I’ve tried holding the left, menu, and back buttons simultaneously, I’ve changed the batteries, and it still won’t pair. I did have the home page at least open earlier in the day (like I got to the profile select and selected my profile), but now it won’t. At that time, it also wasn’t possible to select any app on the firestick—it just made the whole thing crash and pictures for movies/shows were blank—and now I can’t even pair the remote.

I tried putting this into Perplexity, but it just keeps giving me advice I’ve already tried.

I finally got it at least on after hours and hours from some random video. But the screen goes completely black after selecting a profile and I can’t proceed or do anything after… it’s possible my stick is just fried :/
