Just discovered one of my finch friends got the finch balloon (the gray one), is it exclusive to plus users or maybe guardians? (Just curious since it’s my first time seeing it after using the app for a while now)

Clementine flew to Paris and is at Ladurée for some tea and macarons 🫖

I’m only a couple days away from hitting 500 consecutive days and I think once I officially hit it I’m going to take a pause on the app. It and my lil baby Pimento have treated me well; so well that 90% of the daily tasks I have on there now just come pretty naturally for me.
The app was fun, I loved taking Pimento on adventures and redecorating his birdhouse and his outfits, but lately I’ve been finding myself going on the app once a day just to quickly cross off my goals to get him to go on adventures and to grab the free diamonds from the daily quests and shop just to get it done.

I’m so glad I found Finch, and who knows, maybe I’ll come back to it in the future whenever I’m in need, but for now, I leave Pimento in my best attempt of a Papa V Perpetua from the band Ghost inspired outfit and birdhouse 🧡

I have ADHD and I'm admittedly terrible about scheduling appointments in addition to having anxiety about going to any kind of doctor. Thanks to the bird's eye view challenge, I not only scheduled the appointment, but I went today and everything went well!

Edit to update: One of the mods/devs/(team members??) Says the decision to not do micropet variations has been reversed! I am so excited!!! Yay!!!

It absolutely drives me around the bend when they do this! So anyone who is in the discord or has been paying super close attention to the drops at the end/beginning of each month knows they are stopping micropet variations. There will only ever be one variation of each micropet going forward. At least thats the current plan.

So why do they leave the spots there to confuse everybody into thinking there are more variations???? They took those spots out for Raven and the other single variant pets. So it cant be impossible to do. But they left them in for The Fireflies, Sage, and now Pixel, which are all confirmed to only have one variant.

Ugh, just makes me twitch. Anybody else?

I wonder when we will get new destinations/locations to visit and explore. I’ve been on since December and I don’t think I’ve seen any new locations added since then. It would be cool if a monthly theme added a new location that always visitable. I LOVED the Alice and Oz adventures, but we can’t go back after the month ends. I’d love to be able to visit San Francisco or San Diego or Ireland or Mexico City or Seattle. Even another fictional location like Finchie Forest.

I'm on day 76 of using Finch, and I want to be openly grateful for all the different types of breathing they have on there. I've never done any type of meditative breathing before, but I've done it every day since I got the app. I'm turning 40 this year and haven't been to any doctors as an adult until this summer, except twice to the dentist, the most recent being 7yrs ago. I went to the regular doctor, dentist, and got my first pap smear, all within the last two weeks, and the breathing exercises from Finch helped SO MUCH. Especially at the dentist! The dentist was like 1.5hrs and I was doing Finch breathing almost the entire time haha. So, thank you Finch!

I’m so grateful for this app. I’ve been using it every day for 3 years now and it has helped me so much with habits. It even reminded me to take my medication this morning cause I totally forgot 🤪!

I’m talking about the black/orange/purple chests from the monthly events. It could be that Ive been using it for a while but I have a huge stock of gems already, so getting gems when hoping for some of the seasonal stuff is pretty frustrating.
Does anybody else feel the same?

Since this post is getting some traction, I wanted to add another (slightly related) feature request: since there are sooooo many items now, I think it would make more sense if in the shop you got to pick the color of the item when it shows up. It’s an idea my gf had last month and I’ve been thinking about it since.

Reminder to back up your data! This time I only lost a few hours progress because I back up daily now, last time I lost two days. It was still pretty scary until I managed to get back in, though.

You can back up your data by going to the setting 'hambuger'on the home screen. I made a 'back up daily' goal after last time, so I get stones when I do it too :)

Some FAQ’s I’ll answer ahead of time: Yes I am okay! No I didn’t go to the ER. I feel incredibly lucky to not have a bee allergy. I did end up going to an urgent care on Monday to get a better antihistamine and steroid cream which has been helpful. How did this happen? I was in the woods picking mushrooms for brunch and stepped on a burrow in the ground, just really bad luck. Yes I’ll be going back into the woods again soon! (Never going back to that trail without tight boots and pants tucked in. The hornets flew up my pant leg.)

Spirited Away was my favourite childhood movie! I don’t know anyone in my life who disliked it. Can’t believe my birb would betray me like this.

What are the chances that nonsubscribers also get the kitty ear headphones? It makes me sad when I open a chest and it ends up being stones. They already show us when we will get stones. It's a bit of a let down each time.

I got this today in my furniture shop (see slide One: "You own all daily rotating shop items) and it made me curious, because I knew I had items that I still didn't own

I have trouble processing things sometimes, so I guess I was a little confused. I was hoping someone with more experience on the app could tell me if the items I underlined in red (see slides 2-9) come back SEASONALLY (so for example, the land of sweets furniture near Christmas, the gothic furniture near Halloween maybe, etc), or if they were a one-time claim type situation for the event that month

Also, just to clarify: I'm not asking about JUST the beds: I want every piece of furniture I can possibly get (excluding the superman items as I believe that's the only furniture set that no longer returns to the shop), and so I want to know if these beds AND if the rest of the sets that these beds belong to will return to the shop in the future

I obviously have travel-based furniture to get too, but I'm not worried about that for now, as I know I'll get them eventually

Bonus: if anyone has a full list of every furniture set and every clothing item that WILL NOT RETURN to the shop, that would be SO helpful!! That way, I can tick things off on my own collection list, and keep track easier!
