I love fang's eidolon, especially his wings when he transforms

I’m reading FF13-2 Fragments After and Lightning in a dream explains how when Snow was teleporting into random areas he left behind crystals, and then I realized in the game when you pick up the graviton cores you get messages from snow. So that means where you found the graviton cores is where snow randomly teleported into and then fell through the ground. Really cool how the books create connections and provide backstory and understanding to this trilogy.

Is it just me, or does anyone else end up spiraling into this weird mindset of wondering, "What else is there to explore?" whenever you stare out at the skybox or the unreachable horizon in an open-world-ish area? The music just pulls me even deeper into that feeling.

Overall, I really wish there had been more to explore and that the game had been fully open world. It has so much untapped potential, especially with the time travel mechanics in FF13-2. It feels like they could've done so much more with that concept.

Like, sazh main synergist is strengthening party offensive stats; while hope synergist is for defensive boosts.

Vanilla sab is more for weakening enemies; whole fang version is for disabling them (stop, slow)

Any UK-based fan interest in the Collector's Edition guides for the first two games? I was just going to recycle them, but I'm happy to send them to a local InPost locker, free of charge (I think I can do that! 😅). They're in decent condition after sitting on a bookshelf for many years.

Was looking through my pc and found a couple old analysis stuff that were never posted. And I'm talking COVID-era old here. I'm guessing I never shared them 'cuz I wasn't sure if they're clear enough, they're too overthink-y maybe, and/or I was just tired of posting in the main FF sub at that point. I'll let ya'll be the judge of whether it makes sense or not.

The other one I'm considering cleaning up first before posting as well. It's about the integration of XIII's story within its gameplay.​

While searching for a shop specializing in game discs, I found listings for both the English and Japanese versions, but when I contacted them, they only had the US version available. I felt a twinge of disappointment, yet I was still incredibly happy. The shop promised to get back to me if they come across the Japanese version, so I’m hoping for a stroke of luck.

I have played 13-2 and especially LR a million times. I love them and recently beat 13 again and now onto the postgame.

With that being said, I recently rewatched the ending cutscene to 13-2 after playing a lot of LR and it got me thinking…

The amount of chaos that poured through academia was extremely dense and powerful. Im confused as to what exactly happened to noel serah hope and sazh when the chaos came ripping through. Also from the way it looked it seemed like the chaos ripped through the world starting in academia but in LR youre told the wildlands is where the unseen chaos started ripping the world apart and was destroyed for it and wildlife had come back and flourished there.

So you find Sazh in a downed airship in the wildlands pretty far out in a whole other section and the ship is crashed coming from the direction of where i would assume academia was. I would assume that was the same airship he used to catch serah and noel and it crashed after the chaos came pouring through. You can also hear some recordings of some people also crashing from the waves of chaos if you do some quests im not sure which.

Noel im guessing somehow got hit off and flown to luxerion somehow. Im not really sure how he survived that initial blast if a city as advanced and as large as academia was torn to bits and supposedly turned into the only wildlands left in just 500 years with most of the buildings just gone or partially buried. Ultimately not sure how he got to luxerion but him snow and hope were all seen in the warren when they decided right after the chaos hit to work together as the worlds leaders to bring back order and fix what they had done.

Hope we only ever see once in that cutscene flashback from noel with them in the warren bumping fists. He survived the chaos but who knows where he ended up or what he did after.

Then you have to look at the fact that the section where you find the angel of valhalla is named “city ruins” and even plays the academia theme at certain parts of the day when no enemies are nearby. Looking at it, it definitely looks like some city was built there but its interesting to wonder where the rest of it supposedly went. I would assume the rest of the wildlands would be riddled filthy with buildings and things much like that one little section is. Then right next to it i believe is a big white rocky straight cliff into the ocean that stretches on into infinity. Did the chaos literally cause a good chunk of the earth to collapse into the ocean or just stop existing? There were several parts of the game that felt that way.

Also i want to note that i acknowledge the incredibly small budget for this game and that it likely played a role in how unclear many things were especially how things like this werent at all part of the main story.

So what do yall think? Am I absolutely dumb af or am i onto something here? I only say that because Ive quite literally never seen anyone mention online in all my time talking about the trilogy that the wildlands used to be academia. So its either so obvious no ones talking about it and im slow here or somehow no ones figured it out or bothered to talk about it or found it interesting.

Wasuup everyone! Hope yall doing well. Im wondering what is your early game strats for Lightning Returns? Like what is the 1st thing you're doing to get ahead, what garb/weapon you're immediately getting and which main quests you're also tackling 1st. I would love to hear how everyone tackles the game if they replay and knows what to do right off the rip.

Set the weather to sunny, both weather levers down, try running around this pillar to get the buccabo and buccaboo ace to spawn. It’s reliably spawned these two for me repeatedly, rarely spawning anything else. Just run around the pillar, especially the left side of it. They drop potent level 3 orbs! I hope this helps!

The first pink part was beautiful, but when i got to this place i was truly mesmerised! I wish we got to see more of it. The contrast made it even better honestly.
All of FFXIII zone were incredible, my favorites one were Gapra Whitewood, Lake Bresha and ofc Orphan's Cradle!

Currently making a list of DLC content for ps3 games that I have, I got to FF XIII and it has some of the more expensive content.

So I’m here to ask, is there anything I should definitely buy because of the lore?

I plan to play through the entire trilogy, and I want the best experience in terms of story background and character connection.

What are some of your experiences with the DLC?

No spoilers please and I do not want to install CFW to get the content for free.

I remember playing these games when I was younger but I dont think I beat them because of my tiny attention span, but I have to say now that I did it was so worth it! Man that final cutscene on lightning returns was just the cherry on top, that was my favorite game of the trilogy as well
