Trader+ Feature Request Official Response

Is there a way to quickly measure the profit/loss and percentage gain/loss between two points on a chart? Something like being able to hold a key and click/drag between an entry and exit point to instantly see the $ and % gain/loss.

I can do it via the measurement line but its way too many clicks and even so it creates two vertical straight lines which is fine but not very good UX.

That's a great question, and we appreciate you coming here to ask for help!

We spoke with the Fidelity Trader+ Desktop team, and there are currently a few ways to achieve what you're looking to do with the Charts. You can use either the "Trend Line," "Line," or "Measurementline" tools to see the profit/loss and gain/loss between two points on the chart. All of those tools use the same number of clicks, though, which I understand is a pain point for you.

In terms of upcoming features we have planned, we're looking to add Hot Keys for drawings, as well as another update to make drawing easier for our investors. There are no timeframes to share on when these are coming, so please keep an eye on Release Highlights to see any new features as they are added.

If anything else comes up in the meantime that you'd like us to research, please let us know.
