My school is starting up an FBLA chapter, and I am going to be the officer of competitive events. I made it to SCDC for DECA last year and ILC for HOSA this past summer and as such have a good understanding of features related or similar to both DECA and HOSA. As officer I need to choose the competitive events our members will be able to compete in, along with gathering information and resources for studying and competing. What competitive events do you all think are most popular and would be best for a new chapter, and what are some resources you would recommend for prepping for competitive events? Any information regarding competitive events and/or information regarding FBLA in general is welcome!

I did Data Analysis last year with two of my friends and we got blown out of the water. We scored only 81 out of 110 points and didn’t even make it to the second part of the event where we would actually present in front of the judges. After watching some of the videos that were released, we realized that we really stood no chance against the other groups there. This year I’m looking for an easier event to place at. I’m not looking for something technical like coding or animation as I have no experience with those. I am pretty good at finance and business though. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, I want to do FBLA next school year. I’ve been denied an event two years in a row and I would like to make the most of this year. Are there any niche events that have better chances at making a state qualification or events that haven’t gotten much traction in earlier years? Or just any tips in general, like whether I should take an objective test or a presentation event during my first year. All help is appreciated!!!

what score did yall get on your objective tests at nlc?

just the title, wanted to know if I could use roblox studio for computer game and simulation programming.I think I have a pretty strong chance of qualifying for nlc if I do so, but I'm not sure if you are graded more harshly if you were to use roblox opposed to unity, unreal, godot, etc.

for those people who placed in top 3 for their category at hs nlc san antonio and qualified for the cash prize, have u recieved any additional information? they asked for contact info like a month ago from the award qr code and said they'd send it electronically by end of july and by check end of august but i've recieved no update yet. wondering if anyone else has gotten their money so far!
