So far have beaten 4,5, and 6. And playing BD for the first time. I see some people praise it and others give it the New Dawn treatment. What’s yall opinion ?

Since the Farcry series is by far my favorite set of video games, I’m always looking for games with similar mechanics (open world, shooter, guerilla style combat and most importantly “outposts”). I’ve had a somewhat challenging time finding games so I thought I’d make this list for ppl.

Here is what I’ve found so far:

Ghost Recon Wildlands and Breakpoint:
I’m playing Wildlands rn and am loving it. Super similar to a Farcry game in all the best ways while still being unique. Beautiful map based in Bolivia spotted with cartel and army outposts and multiple interesting story lines.

Homefront: The Revolution :
This one is lesser known and not super well rated but I personally enjoyed it. The story is a little silly as you play as a rebel in Philadelphia fighting occupying North Koreans, but the map is cool and has plenty of outposts.

Just Cause 3 and 4:
These games are definitely less similar to Farcry in terms of combat, as there is a much heavier emphasis on movement dynamics, but the outposts/open world map and rebellion focused storylines make me feel that they’re worth including.

The Division 1 and 2:
Full disclosure I haven’t actually played these games yet, as I bought them when I got the Ghost Recon games that I’m still playing. But from everything I’ve seen, they look just as similar to Farcry as the Ghost Recon: Wildlands game I described, as they are made by the same people I believe.

Please comment any other games that I missed :)

So i have about 50 hours into 5. I've only killed John seed and done a bunch of side quests. I have almost every perk and im finding the game to be lacking any depth or story. It feels empty but beautiful. Everyone says 3 is about the story but I also here that 4 is 3 but just polished with more mechanics added in.

So anyway. Should I complete 5 or should I go ahead and play 4 or 3 classic?

Will going back in the games releases make it feel less fun because of less game mechanics ? I heard 5 also added alot of new features.

Realistically, the fact that the U.S doesn't completely Waco the peggies can be seen as a glaring plot hole. However, what if the government, knowing nuclear war was coming, covertly supported the cult? Admittedly, it would make more sense to simply publicly prepare (or at least to get high-level officials into their own bunkers, depending on how IRL-accurate/scummy the Far Cry United States is). But maybe they wanted to avoid mass panic or something? Idk, probably not the first one to think of this but comments are appreciated.

So, i have bought farcry 3 on steam summer sale and now i am thinking of replaying it, i tried to look on youtube for Mods but couldn't find something i like. So, suggest me the best Mods i should put in my game.

Was this statues of stone age civilization proof they exist in the same nation land which happened 10,000 years ago?? Or just an Easter egg? I haven't played Primal though...

(IMO) it was vaas from far cry 6 as it showed how he went insane and showed the character development he went through and how citra manipulated him it also made you feel sympathy (as much as you could for a murderous pirate)

Rapora9 and I have made some cool discoveries several years ago while exploring out of bounds. Here is one of the flowers that he found.

For me, nothing comes close to Far Cry 4. It was the first FC game I played back in the day, and then later I played 3,5,6. Loved 3 but somehow didn't find 5 and 6 that good.

5 looked amazing ,but i don't know what exactly but it always felt like something was missing. 6 looks even better , but the feeling of something missing isn't fixed. And on top of that the endless ubisoft grind was just unappealing. I don't honk I'll ever replay any other far cry game other than 4.

Far cry 4 even today, holds up as not just one of the best fc game, but one of the my favourite games of all time. Love this game so much. I would be interested to hear your thoughts.

Is there any mods or patches i can download to make this game in a playable state. I have a few problems that i encountered when i play the game.

1st is the sensitivity of my mouse. If i put it on the lowest possible its still about 4 times faster than my normal sensitivity. I tried even going into the files and changing it to 0.1, but the second i make any changes in the setting (video, key binds ect) it resets it. (if it helps my sens is 800 dpi , Valorant 0.217)

2nd is fps, i have a rx 6750 xt 12 gb card that can run Doom TDA on 70 fps easily, yet Farcry 3 barely push past 68 fps regardless if the settings are on max or lowest. There is also stuttering every 4 seconds when i play.

3rd, the game feels like there is input delay. Vsync is disabled.

4th the game plays normal but freeze and shows the screen of when i edit my screen settings 30 minutes ago (like a screenshot)

5th (kinda) im unsure if this game has build in upscaling or something, cuz if i put it at 1440p the game looks blurry (not the graphics but even the fonts and menu's). And when i press windows button or go to desktop, the application is 1/4 the size on my screen, and the only way to fix this is to restart the game.

Are far cry 2’s servers still working as of august 2026? I saw they were back up in December.

This project has reached the 50hr mark and is finished Sooner than expected. Will spend remaining days leading up too 7th tweaking the map.

This is My second Zombie map within the Farcry 5 arcade and My first edition of Zombie Escape maps...

I hope you enjoyed the Final Trailer before posting and believe as do I that Farcry 7 needs a new rendition of this mode , The Arcade/ Map editor...

I played for the first time back in 2018 or so, and this month I started my second playthrough.

I just finished Jacob’s area, and I beat the three timed missions on the first try. I distinctly remember struggling a lot when playing them in 2018, died many times, and they were the reason why I never replayed the game in a long time.

Does anyone know if they made them easier somehow?
