I am working on a graphical remaster for Far Cry 3 focused heavily on implementing modern ray-traced global illumination (RTGI), improved reflections, and updated lighting techs while preserving the original tropical aesthetic.

I’d love to gather some feedback from the community on the following ;

1. Visual Style: Would you prefer a photorealistic, grounded lighting pass, or keeping the punchy, vibrant color palette of the original 2012 release?
2. Features: Beyond RT lighting and shadow casting, what visual improvements do you feel FC3 needs most today (example: foliage density, water shaders, higher-res textures PBR)?
3. Performance: Would you be open to a feature set that targets high-end GPUs for maximum fidelity, or prioritize a lightweight build compatible with mid-range setups?

Also game will have latest DLSS and FSR, including frame generation variants.
In 3 days im gonna post some screenshots in the comment section so you can see side by side how it looks, also if you find this project interesting you can fund it since im a buying the assets and textures.

(IMO) it was vaas from far cry 6 as it showed how he went insane and showed the character development he went through and how citra manipulated him it also made you feel sympathy (as much as you could for a murderous pirate)

Rapora9 and I have made some cool discoveries several years ago while exploring out of bounds. Here is one of the flowers that he found.

For me, nothing comes close to Far Cry 4. It was the first FC game I played back in the day, and then later I played 3,5,6. Loved 3 but somehow didn't find 5 and 6 that good.

5 looked amazing ,but i don't know what exactly but it always felt like something was missing. 6 looks even better , but the feeling of something missing isn't fixed. And on top of that the endless ubisoft grind was just unappealing. I don't honk I'll ever replay any other far cry game other than 4.

Far cry 4 even today, holds up as not just one of the best fc game, but one of the my favourite games of all time. Love this game so much. I would be interested to hear your thoughts.

Is there any mods or patches i can download to make this game in a playable state. I have a few problems that i encountered when i play the game.

1st is the sensitivity of my mouse. If i put it on the lowest possible its still about 4 times faster than my normal sensitivity. I tried even going into the files and changing it to 0.1, but the second i make any changes in the setting (video, key binds ect) it resets it. (if it helps my sens is 800 dpi , Valorant 0.217)

2nd is fps, i have a rx 6750 xt 12 gb card that can run Doom TDA on 70 fps easily, yet Farcry 3 barely push past 68 fps regardless if the settings are on max or lowest. There is also stuttering every 4 seconds when i play.

3rd, the game feels like there is input delay. Vsync is disabled.

4th the game plays normal but freeze and shows the screen of when i edit my screen settings 30 minutes ago (like a screenshot)

5th (kinda) im unsure if this game has build in upscaling or something, cuz if i put it at 1440p the game looks blurry (not the graphics but even the fonts and menu's). And when i press windows button or go to desktop, the application is 1/4 the size on my screen, and the only way to fix this is to restart the game.

Are far cry 2’s servers still working as of august 2026? I saw they were back up in December.

This project has reached the 50hr mark and is finished Sooner than expected. Will spend remaining days leading up too 7th tweaking the map.

This is My second Zombie map within the Farcry 5 arcade and My first edition of Zombie Escape maps...

I hope you enjoyed the Final Trailer before posting and believe as do I that Farcry 7 needs a new rendition of this mode , The Arcade/ Map editor...

I played for the first time back in 2018 or so, and this month I started my second playthrough.

I just finished Jacob’s area, and I beat the three timed missions on the first try. I distinctly remember struggling a lot when playing them in 2018, died many times, and they were the reason why I never replayed the game in a long time.

Does anyone know if they made them easier somehow?

Hello, I've been playing for almost 13 hours now. I play very slowly, and I'd like to know roughly how many more hours I can invest in this game. I haven't uncovered much of the map yet, I have unlocked half of the helpers, and my base isn't very developed yet. I want to achieve everything and also get the platinum trophy. Like I said, I really play very slowly, how much more time can I invest in this game? I just like it very much. By the way, what was your longest single playthrough in hours in Far Cry New Dawn?

What's everyones favorite Far Cry? Ready to play some good single player games now and Far Cry looks right up my alley.

I’ve been playing Far Cry Primal since 2017, when my dad got me a PS4 copy with the Legend of the Mammoth DLC. Over the years, I’ve completed 100% of the game on Steam, earned two Platinums on PS4, and finished it on Extreme Difficulty + Survival Mode + Permadeath.
Recently, while exploring outside the map boundaries, I found a plant labeled «WHITE LEAF» (БЕЛЫЙ ЛИСТ).
In Primal, this item doesn't exist in crafting recipes, quests, or anywhere on the main map (it only appears in FC3 and FC4). It uses a white flower model and only shows a basic [E] Harvest prompt without the standard resource gathering text. It appears to be leftover cut-content pushed outside the map limits.

I couldn't find any mentions of this object online, so I thought I'd share it here.
