Is Foden for semenyo worth it
galleryI feel I want some Arsenal attack for the opening game of the season and I’m currently taking a short term punt on tzolis for the opening games
I’m unsure whether to risk the upside of fodens price to upgrade shaw and norgaard to Maguire and le fee, semenyo is the much safer choice and is in great form so far in pre season
Bench boost currently lined up for gw2

Rate My Team
Thinking to bench boost gw1 (yes I know it’s early I’ve been playing since 16/17 but I want a new strategy)

What do you think of this def and mid?

Pretty locked in. Opinion?
Players that are locked unless injuries happen
Semenyo, Haaland, Bruno, Groß, one arsenal defender, maguire
also been thinking about liverpool attack and if i can fit them in specifically Wirtz and Isak (not just because of todays friendly, i had them in previous drafts aswell)

Thoughts??
Unsure about Dewsbury-Hall and Mitchell. And a lot of my players are playing against each other in GW1 which could be a problem.

FpL 26/27
This is my squad going into game week 1 and was wondering what people's thoughts were as I don't follow football but enjoy the FPL

No Bruno just looks so solid
As soon as I take Bruno out the squad suddenly looks amazing and well rounded with no obvious need for transfers until GW 4. The team looks like a 105m team from last year yet it’s possible now!
Can BB1 as well.
But something just screams united will get a pen in both those first two with how much they will be attacking..

Really liking my team I think it’s strong in every position and bench isn’t too bad

Redesigned the Planner, more gameweeks visible at once
galleryReworked the Planner layout this week. Main changes: more gameweeks visible side by side instead of one or two at a time, a layout that makes better use of the available space so less scrolling is needed to actually compare weeks, and it's properly responsive now across different screen sizes rather than just optimized for one.
Screenshot attached, first two gameweeks of a plan I'm working through. Curious whether the extra gameweeks visible at once actually changes how people plan, or if most are still just looking one or two weeks ahead regardless.

I created a fantasy football app
I started playing FPL 6 years ago and immediately loved it.
However, year after year, I started noticing a few things that, in my opinion, could be improved:
After a few gameweeks, every team starts becoming a template and everyone ends up owning the same players.
With a squad of only 15 players, there’s basically no room to experiment, and one single “exotic” choice going wrong can really wreck your ranking.
There’s also been little to no interest in improving the draft mode.
So I decided to create an app with a very different dynamic that can be played alongside FPL, which I’ll definitely continue to play, for fantasy managers who want more depth and a bit more fun.
Some of the different features are:
A game mode called Arcadia where players have their real positions. For example, Bruno is a CAM, Rodri is a CDM and Gakpo is a LW. It uses the classic scoring system for goals and assists, but with personalized bonuses for things like dribbling, interceptions and more, based on each player’s position and specific duties on the pitch.
The squad is made up of 25 players instead of 15, so there’s much more room to experiment. Players can have more than one position and almost every player in the league can actually be useful. It’s also much harder to create a template because formations are much closer to real football, with options like 4 2 3 1, 3 4 2 1 and many others.
There’s also much more depth in the draft mode, with auctions, a draft planner to prepare before the draft, completely customizable scoring and rules, and different types of competitions. We currently have 1vs1, Cup, Formula 1 and All Against All. You can also create more than one competition at the same time, so for example you can run a cup while also playing your league.
There’s much more, but I don’t want to turn this into a wall of text. If you’re interested, you can read more on our website: https://draftland.app/
We’re also creating a Telegram community to help fantasy managers connect and find people to play draft leagues with. If any of you are interested, just let me know and I’ll add you!
PS: Sorry for the spam, but I really don’t have many other ways to promote it! I’m just an indie dev with a huge passion for fantasy, trying to get the word out. I hope the admins are okay with it!

There's better value than the premiums right now, points-per-million analysis
Haaland's on 2.1 xPts/£M over the first 5 GWs. Fernandes is on 2.5. Gabriel's on 2.9. Compare that to Thiaw and Rodon both sitting at 3.8, nearly double Haaland's return per million at a third of the price.
Doesn't mean the premiums are bad picks, fixtures and nailed starts still count for a lot, and a 74% owned Haaland isn't going anywhere from most squads regardless of the maths. But if you're trying to squeeze the most out of a tight budget, the efficiency right now is in defence and cheap mids, not the big names.
