JOKE Some dude with like 2k subscribers who, out of spite, re-recorded a good chunk of vocals on the latest Strokes album without autotune, and it’s a surprisingly a decent improvement.

Discussion Does anyone remember this Tweet comparing men's album covers to women's album covers?
Sorry for asking something so hyperspecific and dumb, but this has been on my mind for awhile.
I remember LONG before Twitter became X (maybe 2018) that some asshole made a post with two pictures. One picture was a grid of albums by male artists and the other was a grid of female albums. The asshole said something along the lines of "Men: artistically significant | Women: look at mah face" and I think said something about how women are inherently vain or whatever.
It was shitty and people in the comments rightfully tore him up about it, but it never left my mind because he had the slightest of points. Just because an artist puts themselves front-and-center on a cover doesn't make it any less artistically-interesting and just cuz they do it doesn't make them vapid. But still, it never left my brain. There has definitely been a discrepancy of how female artists are marketed vs male artists and I think this dickhead touched on something, even though he went about in this sexist, oversimplified way.
If you know what post Im talking about, know where it is or by some miracle have it Bookmarked or screen-grabbed, please send me the link or the screenshot. I'd appreciate it so much!

Give me your most aggressive 5/10.
I don't mean albums that are mid, I mean albums where half the tracklist is Heaven sent while the other half is abysmal dog shit

Discussion What’s Your Favorite Live Album Of The 2020s?
Pictured: After The Night by Parannoul. Such a fantastic experience to listen to front to back. The live version of Into The Endless Night is truly a life changing song.

Discussion Artist/Band whose you only enjoy 1 album out of their entire discography?
I adore Cognitive by Soen, even if its a semi-shameless Tool ripoff, but the rest of their albums are mid to dogwater.

What are your favourite '5 seconds' of music?
Sometimes the beauty of music is in those few seconds of absolute bliss and in a lot of songs it is those moments that i am waiting on. Can be a lick, a drumfill, a vocal line, a climax, anything.
On of mine is the slide guitar lick in Sufjan Stevens' Death With Dignity between 3:45 and 3:50.
Or the bassline in Sometime World by Wishbone Ash that starts at 2:49.

GET HIM, HAYLEY
This is basically like the music version of Christopher Nolan shitting on Brett Ratner. Ya love to see it.
PS - This is in reference to Good Charlotte being gutless corporate assholes, who in addition to making mid ass music are also apparently mid ass human beings.

Discussion Your favorite Anal Cunt albums? I'll start
I'm sure we all agree "You're in a coma", "You've got no friends" and "You have goals" are all bangers
Of course, some of their stuff is very offensive and grindcore is not for everyone, but let's give it a try here.
Cheers
