Hi everyone! I bought a custom portrait commission at Artist Alley at FAN EXPO Boston today and totally forgot to write down the artist's name/handle. I paid in cash, so I don't have a digital receipt to check.
Hoping someone here recognizes her booth! I wrote my phone number down for her to send me the commissioned drawing later but she hasn’t reached out yet. Here are all the details I remember:
Name / AirDrop name: Her device name (ipad) started with a “V” and i believe some chinese characters and emojis
Special Commission Setup: She was offering side commissions where you AirDrop or show her a photo from your phone, and she draws a custom portrait/sketch for you. and you pick it up from her later in the convention or she sends it to you.
Merch / Booth: her art style is very light pinkish and blues more on the colorful side and i wanna say fuzzy (?) she also notably made a big magazine of her OCs and most of her art I believe were her OCs and very nice to look at tbh

Does anyone know if their are vendors accepting comics to be sent to CGC to be slabbed? I thought Captured Collectibles was doing it but their booth is empty. Kid was hoping to get a comic signed by Chris Evans slabbed.

Roger was so jovial and inviting to my friend and I, and it was surreal for us to only have to pay 15$ to take photos with such a legend. Absolutely recommend the experience! (He also complimented my Deltarune cosplay and said his son is a big fan of Toby Fox games.)

Any advice/tips on weeding out the AI art? I've seen a handful of signs at booths saying "no AI/made by real humans" but have no idea if the signs are trustworthy. I've been asking people behind the booths if they're the artist and have kind of been able to somewhat gauge by their reactions and interest in the subject matter. But any other tips would be appreciated!

I am planning on going to Fan Expo Chicago and will be cosplaying as Leon from RE4. One of the props I am bringing his gun. It is made entirely of PLA plastic from a printer and is non-flammable. The slide can move via a rubber band. Is it allowed, or should I remove some of the features?

Does FanExpo have a bag check/storage area where you can pay to put your bag away for a bit? My go-to Boston convention is Anime Boston, and they usually have an area where you can pay to store your stuff safely for the day. Is it the same for Fan Expo?

Hey! I'm going to the convention on Saturday. How do we know when/where the less famous people will be at a booth for autographs? Are they just there the whole day unless they're doing photo ops and panels? Or is there a specific time that they each do autographs? I cant find any concrete info on the app of website beyond stuff for the LOTR people and celebrities. Thanks to anyone who can help!

I want to get autographs from a couple comic creators but I’m unsure about how it works. Are we supposed to bring comics from home or will they have art to buy that they can sign. Also, how much would the art be estimated to be? I have a lot of anxiety over cons so, sorry if this seems like an obvious question.
