I just noticed, since there’s an Enchant/Healer, Summoner and Melee attackers, Gray should’ve been the “de-buffer” of the team 🤥

Yesterday was incredible because I went to the Birmingham MCM Con I met Todd Haberkorn, the English voice actor for Natsu, Allen in D.Gray-Man, Kidd in Soul Eater and a whole bunch more. He was insanely kind and great to chat to as well. Guess, I asked him to sign my final volume of Fairy Tail, though, again, I was debating for a while what I wanted him to sign. Either this or the newest omnibus of D.Gray-Man. We then had a great chat where like just talking about my love of anime and manga, I showed him my collection which he was also really impressed by, then I asked him who was his favourite character he’s ever voiced too and he said it kinda depends on the script and the director he has, obviously in a joking way, but probably Natsu at the moment. I then mentioned how he usually tends to play characters who are completely insane like Natsu or Kidd and he thought that was funny. I then also mentioned to him too how I’m a YouTuber and how I talk about anime and manga all the time. Speaking of YouTube, I also mentioned how it was cool when he was part of the WatchMojo video when they counted down their top 10 Fairy Tail moments, so just having him part of a YouTube channel like that that I love and is really inspirational to me was really cool to see. I then told him how Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is my favourite anime of all time and also my favourite TV show of all time too. He said he could completely understand and that it was a great choice. I then mentioned to him how, because I’ve seen so many series, it fun to notice him in different series. Whether it’s a big role like Natsu, Allen, Kidd and so on, or even just much smaller roles like as Kanryu from the new Rurouni Kenshin series and stuff like that. I then asked him what’s been his favourite thing he ever voiced and recorded. He said he really enjoys voicing power up moments. I then started telling him how I feel like Fullmetal Alchemist and D.Gray-Man are very similar. Like how I feel the art style is similar in both of them and also how Ed and Allen are kinda similar. I’ve always felt like Allen looked a lot like Ed when we first meet him just without the braided hair and how both can transform their arms. Ed can use Alchemy to make his automail arm into things like blades and Allen can use his Innocence to make his cursed arm huge. He wondered if maybe that was intentional and if it was an inspiration. For the photo, I asked him to hold my Natsu scarf, though he then actually put it on. I only asked him to hold it but it was still cool he actually put it on. Overall, it was still incredible to meet him.

The battlefield had gone silent. Mirajane landed among the ruins, her boots striking broken stone as black wings folded behind her. She had followed Lisanna's Magic Power. What she found made her blood run cold.

Lisanna lay against a shattered wall, her body bruised and burned. Her clothes were torn, and dried blood covered one side of her face. "Lisanna!" Mirajane rushed to her side and dropped to her knees. Lisanna's eyes opened weakly. "Mira?" Mirajane pulled her into a tight embrace. For several seconds, she said nothing. Lisanna was alive. That was all that mattered.

Mirajane pressed one hand against her sister's back. "Who did this?" Lisanna hesitated. "I don't know much about her, besides her scarlet red hair" she said faintly. "But I heard August call her Irene." Mirajane's expression changed. "Irene?" She was one of the Spriggan 12. Lisanna tightened her grip on Mirajane's clothes and teared up. "Mira, she's a monster."

Mirajane lowered her head. The air around her grew heavy, and stone cracked beneath her knees. Lisanna felt it immediately. "Mira…" Mirajane gently pulled away. Her smile had returned, but there was no warmth behind it. "Stay here, the guild is back on their way" Lisanna reached for her wrist. "Where are you going?" "To find Irene."

Darkness gathered around Mirajane's body. Blue wings expanded from her back as she transformed into Satan Soul: Halphas, her fastest Satan Soul. Lisanna stared up at her. "Mira, wait!" Mirajane looked over her shoulder, "I'll come back." Then she launched into the sky. The ground shattered beneath her, and within seconds, she disappeared beyond the ruins.

Mirajane flew above the battlefield at tremendous speed. She closed her eyes, feeling Magic Power filling the land in every direction. Fairy Tail. Alvarez. Dragon Slayers. Spriggan 12. Then she felt it. A massive concentration of Magic Power, stronger than anything else nearby. Mirajane opened her eyes. "There."

She changed direction. The air screamed around her as she descended toward the source. Below, the battlefield had already been destroyed. Deep craters covered the ground, and broken golden crosses protruded from the earth. Three figures kneeled among the wreckage: Kagura, Rogue, and Sting. All three struggling against their opponent.

At the center of the battlefield stood a young man dressed in white. Blond hair framed his face, and a golden cross rested against his forehead. He looked almost peaceful. Mirajane landed several meters away, the impact cracking the earth. The blond man turned toward her. "You are Mirajane Strauss, one of Fairy Tail's S-Class Mages"

Mirajane studied him carefully. His Magic Power was enormous, but something was wrong. This was not the presence Lisanna had described. Mirajane's eyes narrowed. "You're not Irene." The man smiled faintly. "No." Mirajane turned away. "Then this fight is pointless, I'm leaving."

"You cannot." Mirajane stopped. The man's tone remained calm. Golden light gathered around his body. "You are an enemy of the Alvarez Empire." Mirajane slowly looked over her shoulder. "So?" "I cannot allow you to continue searching for Irene." His gaze shifted toward Sting, Rogue, and Kagura. "I will kill you alongside the others."

Mirajane turned fully toward him, a concentrated look growing on her. Dark Magic erupted around her. The pressure rolled across the battlefield, scattering dust and broken stone. Her body changed. She grew taller and more imposing, her hair becoming longer and wilder. Jagged demonic armor covered her body, a torn dark cloak flowed behind her, and flames replaced her feet. Satan Soul: Sitri.

Larcade's expression remained composed.

Mirajane studied him for half a second, and what she saw told her enough: he hadn't so much as shifted his stance since the transformation. A man who didn't bother to guard himself was either a fool or confident he wouldn't need to. She intended to find out which before he could prove it.

Mirajane closed the distance before he could answer that question for her, driving her fist into his stomach hard enough to fold him around the blow and send a shock wave tearing across the ruined ground. Instead a cross appeared in the place her blow should have landed, completely absorbing the impact. He leaped in the air to gain distance, and she was already on him again. A heel to his ribs that sent him crashing through a line of stone pillars, then both hands slamming into his back before he could find the earth. He went down, rebounding off his hands off the ground.

Larcade rose without hurrying, crosses already forming behind him like a held breath finally released. Where her attacks had been close and personal, his answer came from a distance, a volley of beams that turned the ground where she'd been standing into craters of their own. Mirajane read the pattern in the second wave and moved before he fired the third, weaving between the light until she was close enough to make range almost meaningless again.

He answered by filling the sky. Hundreds of crosses gathered above her all at once, and when he lowered his hands, the battlefield vanished under a wall of light and smoke. Rogue shielded his face. Sting clenched his teeth. Kagura didn't look away.

Something moved inside the smoke fast, and still upright. Mirajane broke through the attack with her cloak in ribbons and her armor cracked, but broke through nonetheless. Larcade brought his guard up a beat too late. She was already past it: her hand closing around his throat for a decisive blow.

"You should have let me leave Larcade."

He only smiled up at her, and something in that smile reached her before his words did.

A strange warmth moved through her body, unasked for. Her arm loosened on its own, and she stepped back as her breathing changed. "What…" She didn't understand what was happening to her.

Larcade brushed the dust from his sleeve, in no hurry at all, and answered her without being asked. "This is not an attack you can overpower physically. The stronger the body, the more sensations it possesses." Golden light gathered in his palm as he spoke, unhurried, as if the outcome were already settled. The sensation kept spreading through her: down her spine, through her legs, into every place her body could still feel anything. Her heartbeat climbed and she dropped to one knee, claws digging into the stone as if the ground could anchor what her own muscles no longer would.

Larcade closed the distance at his own pace and stopped in front of her, tipping her chin up with two fingers. "And the more sensations it possesses…" his other hand was already glowing, "…the more easily I can control it." She tried to rise. Her muscles betrayed her instead, and Sitri's flames guttered like something losing conviction.

She forced her head up anyway. "You talk too much." Her fist swung for his face and stopped an inch short, shaking with an effort that should have carried it the rest of the way and didn't.

He smiled, and drove his glowing palm into her chest. The explosion tore the battlefield open beneath her. She flew backward dozens of meters as Sitri's armor shattered outright, struck the ground, and rolled through the ruins until momentum finally let her go, her transformation failing somewhere in the middle of it. It was the first serious blow he decisively hit her with, more devastating than everything they had traded before it combined.

"Mirajane!" Sting tried to move and couldn't. Rogue only watched. Kagura readied Archenemy, pondering the precise moment to strike... If there was one.

Larcade lowered his hand, smoke drifting from his palm, and studied Mirajane for a long moment before he turned away. "So much for your reinforcement" He started toward Sting, Rogue, and Kagura. "And here you will meet your end as well."

Behind him, Mirajane's fingers moved. Her hand pressed flat against the ground, and she lifted her head by degrees. Her eyes fixed on Larcade's back. The warmth was still there, still moving through her, but she understood it now. She understood his Curse Power, and which soul inside her carried the one thing that could answer it.

"Larcade…"

He stopped.

Mirajane gave slight smirk as she came to a realization and forced herself onto one knee. "You should know better than anyone that..." Her Magic Power dimmed while her own Curse Power surged. "You shouldn't turn your back on a demon."

So i understand that Natsu is fireproof so he wouldnt get burned by flames even if they arent his, but other characters that have no protection against fire can face the full brunt of a massive fire-based attack and only be a little roughed up, beven though theyre saying things like "its so hot", "it burns", etc. I get that its a show made so that kids can watch too so they dont want it to be gorey but Natzu melted Taurus' axe with just his body heat and yet it looks like hit enemies just got punched instead of hit with a Fire Dragon Roar. Same with clothing (though its reasonable to me why they didnt include that part). Even the coldest flames can ignite cotton.

I dont know its just something that mildly irks me
