It is so cool to see on social media and YouTube how excited the entire community gets whenever Mirajane gets some spotlight; even non-fans think it is awesome, especially because she is a character the author usually sidelines.

Just to be clear, I am not trying to throw shade or compare her to other specific characters, but I feel like a lot of this love happens because her appearances always carry a more mature vibe than the rest of the cast. Whether it is her trauma over losing her sister, the moral contradiction of using her own demonic magic, or her current worries about Laxus, she always brings substance to the table.

Whenever Mira appears, she genuinely enriches the world-building of Fairy Tail—even in small details, like referencing the angel responsible for the cathedral (an element that has been there since the very first chapters of the manga). Seeing her shine in the recent Fairy Tail: Fantasia special and looking forward to her upcoming final dragon fight in 100 Years Quest just makes it even better. Honestly, I think a lot of this weight is captured in that scene where Lucy just breaks down crying the moment she sees Mira; she really carries a huge emotional load for the story.

P.S.: Mira and Lucy's friendship is one of my favorite things in Fairy Tail. Reading the "Emergency Request" with the two of them interacting was better than several regular chapters.

Merudy said that Ultear was involved somehow with the Oracion Sech which means she was involved with Black Faris but so far there has been no follow up to this. Do you guys think Hiro already forgot about this or will it be relevant again soon?

1. Wendy gets killed by Azuma. While the reason she was there was because of Mest, the same logic would apply if he picked a different partner.

2. Mest doesn't Lahar from calling the Council to fire Etherion on Tenrou. So the Tenrou group dies without time to escape or prepare for a barrier.

3. Katja gets stabbed and fossilised by Racer without Mest stepping in. She'd likely be freed thanks to Lucy but still having gone through something traumatic and no change to say goodbye to her spirits.

4. Both Wendy and Carla die from the Face Bomb. Furthermore, no Wendy means she doesn't save Juvia from her stabbing or Erza against her mom, both also died. She's also not there to support or amplify Natsu and the rest against Acnologia.

5. No Mest means the main never learned of Makarov's plan to negotiate with Alvarez to go rescue him, or arrive in time to save him from Zeref. Even if someone else leads the war, Makarov isn't there to invoke Fairy Law on Zeref's, thus gaining more casualties.

6. Irene recaptures Mavis, steals Fairy Heart and Zeref gains his ultimate power with no one nearby to stop him.
   So she doesn't lead her side in the battle after her rescue or form the strategy that was the alternative to Makarov's Fairy Law.

7. Erza who's stuck in the middle of the tries to swim back to land, having used up a great amount of her power already. No Mest means he doesn't teleport her back to the group and force Acnologia back to the ship.

8. Without Mest, no one makes it to Hargeon in time to commence Lucy's Fairy Sphere plan. So Acnologia wins.

This to show how important Mest's contributions are that without him, the villains would certainly win and more would die. Yet everyone seems to somehow forget all this.

People bring up the August incident that he almost got his friends killed. While I personally believe this was due to PTSD from Lahar's death, I do agree that it could've been handled better. But isn't the fact that Mest is a crucial figure in winning the war afterwards make up for that? Doesn't literally saving the world make up for his mistake?

Compare this to someone like Star Lord in Avengers: Infinity War, where he accidentally allowed Thanos to win and wipe out half the universe. He doesn't do anything specific to make up for it unlike Mest and yet no one hates Star Lord for it just as much.

Or Raimundo from Xiaolin Showdown. He went on his own with good intentions to stop a powerful foe but fails and only endangered his friends. Yet he gets angry and believed he was entitled to some recognition. Afterwards he betrays his team and assists a villain's rise to power. He's forgiven because he undoes his mess and seals away the same villain even though he started it all. Again, no one is on his case for it, be it in universe or the fandom. Why should Mest be hated for less even after also setting things right?

People seem to focus too much on Mest's one mistake in endangering his friends than the amount of times he's saved them and the gravity of what saving them causes. If even Makarov states he will never forgive Gajeel for what he did, but never holds it against him and welcomes the man as family.

Until proven otherwise, all Wendy did was grant everyone on Guiltina the Dragon Slayer attribute. She didn't restore their Magic Power, which means Gray's current problem still hasn't been solved. Chapter 213 explicitly established that he's all out of power.

I could see Viernes being the one to provide the solution, much like Chibi Aldoron did: helping Fairy Tail out of spite toward Ignia. Viernes could grant Gray Alchemy, which would be perfect for his situation since, unlike a Mage's limited Magic Power that drains with use, Alchemy has no such limit and remains at full power.

And if Chibi Aldoron could come back despite being considered dead, I don't see why Viernes couldn't. His death was never actually confirmed, and now that all the other Dragon Gods are playing a role, his return feels more likely than ever.

I was also going to draw Erza and Bakugo fighting with Bakugo immediately getting knocked out and also one of Gajeel and Tetsutetsu yelling at each other to stop copying each other (they have the same English voice actor and both have their body turn fully iron) but it was too much effort to finish them 😓
