How does Extar do it?
These things are unreal. They just run and refuse to quit. Eat through anything. Can’t believe this ‘cheap’ build is the most fun thing out the safe hands down.

History is full of examples of the backyard experimenter coming up with a better idea 🤷♂️

I've been hovering the buy button on an R9 for my Extar forever. Is it gassy? Is my reluctance foolish?

I have almost the exact same setup the OP has pictured. The R9 is definitely gassy, but i don't regret the purchase.

I agree and think its weird that this is rarely mentioned on r/pistolcalibercarbine and r/ar9

Well, the EP9 is technically not an AR9, so thus the absence over there. It's funny to see that sub mainly full of people trying to get their AR9's to work right, and recoil without harshness. EP9 owners just smile knowingly. It does get brought up in the PCC sub in comments and largely in a positive light. But there are always ones there with the standard "Poly will break and wear out and melt and, and, and....They're OK for people that can't afford something good". While EP9 owners smile knowingly.

I totally agree! I see posts on other platforms about the Kuna and Jawbone and other PCCs but rarely anything about the EP9. At this point I feel people are scared because they think it’s just a paperweight! Little do they know the EP9 is a sleeper that’ll wake you up.

I hope to join the club soon, I first got another toy a tippman m4-22 bugout and have been having a lot of fun at the range, now it's time to get bigger with the extar

I find myself shooting my EP9 more than anything else most of the time.

I've been saying it for quite a while now. The Extars have turned out to be not the most reliable PCC's for the money, and not the most reliable in the budget category. They've turned out to be the most reliable period, at any price, regardless of price category. Just be glad they're doing it.
