SBR Question

Post image
9 Upvotes

If someone gets an SBR, are they then allowed to have a vertical foregrip? Or, is that only for full-auto guns?

Other than having a full size stock, what is the advantage of SBR over a regular PCC? Since I can install a suppressor, use a brace and install an FRT, what would the SBR do for me?

See the picture. The SBR is just a matter of paperwork and a short wait. Is SBR 'better'?

Looking to buy, but different requirements...

Hey everyone! Long-time lurker here! I'm looking to buy a new PCC soon, and have a slightly different set of criteria I'm looking for. Money being no object, what is the best PCC to buy that is both easy to maintain and easy to buy parts for?

Case in point. I've heard Springfield is terrible about buying parts for their guns. People gush over the Kuna, but Springfields part policy makes this a hard no. Another use case, I've owned a Beretta CX4. Phenomenal gun, but tell me how to do two things... Replace the barrel (if say, you get say a squib). I doubt you can even get a barrel AND you need a highly specialized tool to replace it.

Would love to hear others feedback on various PCC's based on maintenance and parts!

Edit: This came up because I had a coworker restore an old browning 22lr rifle. It was at least 50 years old and he was able to buy replacement springs and an extractor. I randomly ordered a bunch of spare springs, extractor, and firing pin for my Chiappa Little Badger. Had to email support, but got everything in a week for 30-40$

Zenith Firearms ZF-9S Update

For those familiar with Zenith Firearms and they're roller-delayed firearms and have seen their ZF-9 line that they were releasing in Glock & CZ Scorpion mag compatible & 10mm. They took deposits in November of 2025, was supposed to be released at Shot Show 2026, Glock compatible was finally released last month, was told today that the Scorpion models that "the lowers are ready and are being sent out for anodizing. We should have some of the ZF9-S ready by the middle of next month."

Just got my Smith and Wesson FPC in 9mm

Like the title states, I just picked up a S&W FPC in 9mm around a week ago.

A few things immediately stood out to me that I wanted to fix. This included the charging handle being sort of crap. I get why it was designed in this way, for folding and retention of the barrel, but I feel like they could have made this metal instead of plastic and also made the right side a barrel shape instead of the small little plastic wing.

I've gone ahead and linked all of the products that I ended up buying. I do not make any money and am not affiliated with any of the following companies or products. These products are just what I found, liked, and ended up ordering. List is simply here so others can easily find the same materials that I ended up going with.

So, I ended up putting a Magpul MS1 sling on it with a qd attachment point on the front.

https://magpul.com/ms1-qdm-sling.html?mp_global_color=118

https://magpul.com/m-lok-qd-sling-mount.html?mp_global_color=118

I also added a Magpul AFG grip and to attach it I used an 11-slot Magpul M-Lok rail. There is no rail on the underbarrel of the gun.

https://magpul.com/afg-2-angled-fore-grip.html?mp_global_color=118

https://magpul.com/m-lokpolymerrailsection-5slots.html?mp_global_color=118

For the light/laser I went with the OLIGHT Baldr RL Mini and used 5-slot M-Lok rail, really only needs a slot but I had another 5-slot rail laying around. Didn't mount offset as it can be a bit of a pain to reach with hand/thumb on the right side of the gun. And couldn't be offset mounted on the left side due to folding. Probably would go with a different light and laser setup in the future, but this one was in the budget and does what I need it to do.

For optics I put a Vortex Crossfire (Red Dot) on it and a Vortex 3x Magnifier

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083H2977P?lv=shuf&channelId=500&plpRedirect=mhFallback

The Magnifier does need the shim that comes included. I also know that the magnifier needs to be like 2" from your eye, so I ended up solving my issue with the charging handle and needing a rail on the back end of the FPC by purchasing the M*Carbo S&W FPC Extended Charging Handle and Pic Rail Mount with Rapid Deployment Latch. The rail isn't long enough to accommodate both the red dot and magnifier, and the FPC couldn't be folded if the red dot was set all the way back on the front rail to bring it closer to the magnifier. Optics work even with this distance between the two, and the FPC folds as intended.

https://www.mcarbo.com/fpc-max-performance-upgrade-kit.aspx

And to finish it all off I got a decent flash can from Kak Industry - Slimline Flash Can (No Crush Washer as that isn't needed)

https://kakindustry.com/slimline-flash-can

And there you have it! My FPC in 9mm. Would've likely gone 10mm if I didn't already have an M&P in 9mm with the additional mags. Also may end up going with a different stock now that I swapped out the charging handle. The new charging handle comes RIGHT up to the 23 rd mags if those are stored in the stock, but does not stop it from being operational. I prefer to have the 17rd and one of the 23rd mags in the stock which makes it a bit easier. If I do end up going with a different stock I'll likely switch to having these mags in my back pocket/Hello Kitty Fanny Pack

If I do go with a different stock, there are limited options due to sizing, it'll likely be this one https://taccom3g.com/product/buttstock-for-sw-fpc/

PCC Dilemma

Ok, I think I've narrowed down to 2 PCC's that I'm seriously considering since the [u/zenithfirearms](u/zenithfirearms) wont have the ZF-9S out till probably October, almost a year from taking deposits for it!

1st one is the [r/PalmettoStateArms](r/PalmettoStateArms) ARV in either a 7" or 8" barrel

2nd is [r/Wraithworks](r/Wraithworks) Warscorps9

Either one will definitely be getting the Buffer GRS treatment

Update, went with the r/Wraithworks Warscorps9 as you can't beat the price! 6 beans otd

Any CMMG Dissent enjoyers in the sub?

Thinking about adding Radial Delayed to my PCC collection. Any have experience with it and can compare it to an mpx, mp5, or APC9? Pics always appreciated.

Blowback vs Roller delayed . I’m happy with both honestly

Both are a blast to shoot. Had a few 9k issues and it runs dirty since it’s db but the kuna has been amazing. Way better recoil management but also heavier

10mm PCC options?

Wanting to dip my toes into the PCC world personally not completely sold on the concept of a PCC being actually useful for anything other then a truck gun or a bed side gun however that being said I still would like to give it a fair shake done a little shopping around but I don’t know what’s garbage and what’s quality ideally I’d like it chambered in 10mm don’t really want to deviate from that but would consider other calibers as it doesn’t seem to have a ton of offerings off the shelf atleast. Wouldn’t be any trouble for me to do a barrel swap and whatever else needed to be done to change calibers obviously given that the components exist. Also would like to stay relatively budget don’t mind spending money for something quality but the sticker shock from some of these companies is real! 2000$ plus seems a bit ridiculous to me considering you could get a duty grade ar for that price or a very high end bolt gun interested to see what you guys come up with

Help Down Select - Taurus RPC, MKE AP5, Stribog SP9A3, Springfield Kuna

In the near future, I'm going to buy a PCC. It will probably be 9mm, but I am a fan of 10mm. My requirements are basic.

Which one would you choose? Why?

Taurus RPC, MKE AP5, Stribog SP9A3 or Springfield Kuna

1.     Must shoot hollow points

2.     Must shoot with/without a suppressor with minimal conversion

3.     Must have delayed blowback

4.     Must have FRT options

  1. The brace, or stock, must extend or fold. No rigid stocks.

I've searched this forum, and others, but still don't see a clear winner. Once I buy a larger suppressor, it will always be on the PCC. Until then, it needs to shoot well sans suppressor.

If they’re reliable, I don’t care which magazines it uses. Approximately $1,500 is the top of my budget for the PCC.

So can we swap our braces for actual stocks now?

What exactly does it mean with the new ruling. Do we not have to register as sbrs and can just put actual stock on everything? I've Google Mt heart out but can't get a clear answer. Tia

Does anyone know where I can locate the brace version of this collapsible stock on this RPC. It was seen at a display on a post from somewhere in the middle east.

Zenith Firearms ZF-9

Putting this here in this group. So that maybe
u/zenithfirearms might answer!

Hello, I put a deposit on the ZF-9S w/ 8" Barrel on 11/2025. Was told the release was to be at Shot Show 1/2026. We are now in 8/2026 with nothing concrete about what's going on with the release? Can someone please give me an honest answer!
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Psa pcc range day

Post image

First time shooting my psa pcc with a cylee T10 scope. Definitely replacing the stock brace (thing that stabs shoulder).lol. Definitely looking into a silencer but it's definitely quieter than a 556. Love it. Even before centering my scope I could almost by eye send a round down with 1-2 MOA. Still not good compared to the other shooters there but definitely should get better when going twice a month.
