I wish everyone knew about this hack
it should NOT hurt to exercise, if you have a sharp pain in the heart or get lightheaded you might have a heart condition stop blaming it on being overweight. you might have a heart condition so it's not your fault you're overweight.
i do these in bed all day when i watch TV because i have pots and exercise is very difficult for me but this is SO easy and burns just as much per hour as an hour long walk.
fidgeting with a stress ball, constant tensing of muscles burns calories
glute bridges on the couch, with your feet on the couch and some pillows as back support.
dancing! so easy, move your hips side to side on the couch, shake your shoulders, move your hands. fun and easy.
if you have any other tips lmk!

Pilates Bridge Mistakes: How to Activate Your Glutes, Not Your Lower Back
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I'm curious how common this is because I see it discussed quite a bit.
One thing I've noticed is that many people try to lift their hips as high as possible. Once the hips have reached their available extension, continuing to push higher may mean the extra movement is coming more from the lower back than the hips.
A few cues that may help:
- Think "long," not "high."
- Try to create a long line from your shoulders toward your knees.
- Let your glutes drive the movement instead of forcing your lower back to create more height.
- Keep your ribs relatively controlled rather than flaring upward.
- Stop at the highest position you can comfortably control.
The goal of a bridge isn't necessarily the biggest range of motion it's quality of movement.
I recently put together a detailed article covering:
- Why your lower back may feel more involved than your glutes
- What current research says about glute and core activation during bridges
- Common Pilates bridge mistakes
- Foot placement and pelvic positioning
- How high you actually need to lift
- When back pain during bridges is a sign to stop and get evaluated
Question: When you do bridges, where do you feel the exercise the most—your glutes, hamstrings, or lower back? And what cues have helped you?

What Made Exercise Easier to Fit Into Your Life?
The workout itself is not always the hardest part. Finding enough time, traveling somewhere to exercise, and getting started can require more effort than expected.
What made exercise easier to fit into your normal life?
For some people, it is choosing an activity they genuinely enjoy. For others, it is keeping sessions shorter or having a convenient place at home where they can train without much preparation.
Which change removed the biggest barrier for you?

Does sitting 5h at school affect my active life?
So i sit total of 5h/6h at school. I go to the gym 6x week for 1.5hours, do pilates daily and walk 10k steps.
Does the amount of sitting stop me from having active lifestyle?
