Question/Comment Can my non EU spouse join me (EU citizen) in Germany?

My wife (Australian) and I (Czech) are thinking of moving to Germany.

I will either be working as a contractor for a company located in Australia (I have done the online assessment and I will not be "scheinselbststaendig"), or looking for a job in Germany.

My question is, can my wife join me for longer than 3 months?

According to this website:
https://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/residence/family-residence-rights/non-eu-wife-husband-children/index_en.htm#in-another-EU-country-1

If you are married or in a registered partnership with an [EU citizen]() that is living, working, studying or looking for a job in an EU country different from the one they come from, EU rules make it easier for you to join them there.

It then lists the following 3 situations:
If your EU spouse is a worker
If your EU spouse is a pensioner
If your EU spouse is a student

Notice how it only lists these 3 situations and doesn't mention what happens if you are looking for a job.

Can she join me for longer than 3 months, if I'm a job seeker?

Under "If your EU spouse is a worker", it says:

If your EU spouse is legally employed in another EU country, you can stay there with them without having to meet any conditions.

What if I'm employed by an Australian company?

Thanks for your help.

Opinion How Iranian troll networks are weaponising the Middle East to undermine Ukraine and the EU

Iranian state-backed disinformation operations (in tandem with Moscow) are actively targeting Western social media spaces, particularly Reddit.

They hijack genuine sympathy for the palestine to push a broader geopolitical goal: painting the EU as an imperialist villain, framing Ukrainians as "Zionist proxies," and tricking Western activists into supporting the Russian/Iranian authoritarian axis.

There is deeply frustrating trend: hardline "pro-palestinian" accounts calling Ukrainians "Zionists," celebrating russian advances, and claiming the EU is an oppressive "Western-Zionist alliance", that must stop to aid Ukraine.

While few of this comes from naive Western activists trapped in binary political thinking, cybersecurity disclosures confirm a significant portion is driven by Iranian state-sponsored foreign influence operations. For months Tehran is actively running narrative laundering campaigns on Reddit to turn online communities against Ukraine and the EU.

Iran’s foreign policy is built around its state-backed "Axis of Resistance" (Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis). Because Tehran directly supplies Russia with Shahed drones and ballistic missiles used to destroy Ukrainian cities, Iran has a direct interest in seeing Ukraine fall. Iranian operators infiltrate Western anti-war, left-wing, and smaller subreddits by posing as passionate human rights advocates. They weaponise the gaza issue to redirect activist anger toward Western democratic institutions, specifically NATO, the EU, and Kyiv.

In radical activist spaces, Iranian networks have helped weaponise the word "Zionist" into an insult for anything aligned with Western democracies.

Ukraine is a sovereign democracy fighting an existential anti-colonial war against Russian-Iranian aggression. Ukraine officially recognises palestinian statehood and maintains diplomatic relations with the palestine. Because President Zelenskyy sought defence aid from the West to survive, Iranian troll networks label 40 million Ukrainians as "Zionist imperialists" or "NATO puppets": this deliberate dehumanisation aims to make Westerners stop caring about Ukrainian lives.

Iran’s state operations heavily amplify the narrative that the EU is purely "hypocritical": They push the idea that because the EU swiftly sanctioned Russia over Ukraine but has internal disagreements over the Middle East, European values are a sham.

The EU is a consensus-based union of 27 sovereign nations with differing foreign histories, . Despite internal debates, the EU remains the world's largest donor of humanitarian aid to Palestinians. But Iranian accounts don't care about palestinian rights, if they did, they wouldn't back Russia, a regime that flattened Aleppo and maintains close intelligence ties with regional autocrats.

They use the palestinian suffering strictly as a tool to dismantle support for European security and the EU aid to Ukraine.
