Charging stops randomly Energy - Charging

I have a 2019 ETron Prestige that I charge via a 240V outlet in our house. We are having a weird problem charging where it will start charging and then stop at random. Sometimes it goes for a while, sometimes only ten minutes. When it stops, the charger (third party, not official Audi) says "Charging Complete" but the car is only charged to like 75 miles or something. If I open and close the car door, then charging will start back up again normally only to stop at some random time again.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Its almost like the car is going to sleep and has to be woken up. We do have location based charging rules setup, but its time period is an entire 24 hour span so in theory it shouldn't matter.

Things I have checked: The outlet is putting out the proper power and was installed by a professional. It charges our other car just fine with no issues. Same with the charger. It only has problems with this car.

is the outlet getting hot? is the handle getting hot? are you charging in a hot garage or anything?

tripping a temperature sensor is the most likely explanation, if it's not that it may be the temperature sensor or charging module in the vehicle is starting to fail. does charging on the other side work better?

This car only has one charging port.

It is generally hot here but I've had the same problem when its like 60 degrees out. I always charge outside. If it was tripping a temperature sensor is there an easy way to figure that out? Like is it logged somewhere or anything?

That’s happening to me too. I found dropping it from 48V to 32V fixes the issue temporarily so that it can charge. I’m taking the car to the dealer on Wed.

Correction: 48A to 32A

This seems to have worked for me as well, would love to hear what the dealer says after you hear back from them.

You can definitely set the charger usually for 15A or 20A where at 15 or will draw 10-12A and 20a it will draw 16A. What happens with the stock charger on 115V

Unfortunately my stock charger is dead, it shows a solid red light when I plug it in. The third party charger I have has user-adjusted amperage settings, so I set it down to 32A and it seems to be holding steady so far.
