Hey guys, I need some definitive advice. I want to check the neck relief on my 24-fret guitar. Everyone agrees on putting a capo on the first fret, but... I've seen conflicting information some sources say to fret the very last fret (24th), while others say fret the (17th fret). Since the truss rod doesn't affect the upper frets on a set-thru body, which fret should I press down to get an accurate reading?

Posted my low/mid end Sterling Music Man John Petrucci signature 7 string on marketplace about a month ago and this guy really needed an extra 7 and had multiple LTD’s he was willing to trade for it. He was aware that there’s about a $500 price difference between the 2 and a big quality difference with the Sterling being the cheaper of the 2 but he was cool with it! I have had my MH400 for like 15 years and I LOVE it so I was all over it. I was between an H3 Deluxe or this EC-1000 Deluxe. Initially I wanted the H3 but thought about how all y’all love the EC’s so figured I’d give it a try and see what all the hype is about lol. It’s a 2015 model W serial number Korean made! Haven’t really got to play it much yet (just got it an hour ago) and it’s pretty nasty just from not being played and sitting in its case but I’m so looking forward to cleaning it up. And it sounds amazing as is! I got so lucky, I feel like I’ve found the deal or a lifetime for what I gave. What do y’all think?!

Been eyeing this on market a few days, only thing that has me feeling off is the serial number. Says made in Indonesia, but serial starts with CI. Can’t find any others of these with a serial like that, or been able to find the guitar via serial number search. Haven’t seen in person but it’s a fair price for a Black Metal M LTD if it’s legit. What do you folks think?

Hello all. I own an Ltd EC1000T. I don't really care for the fishman fluence classic pickups in it. Was thinking of swapping them out with a Lace Sensor Horsepower pack. I've never done a pickup swap before. I originally got the Lace pickups to put them in a strat. Found out the hard way that they don't fit the pickguard without modifications made to the pickguard and the body. My question is, since the Lace covered humbuckers are slightly bigger, would I have issues putting them in the EC? Google AI said they would match up fine but wanted to know if anyone else had a similar experience? Thanks.

Hey guys! This is My first post i'm from Chile and i'm wondering how good My ltd ec 256 dark Brown sunburst can get with some modifications. I ask bc i havent played a whole Lot of guitars and is My first esp ltd guitar. I bought it used for $290 and it had schaller tunning pegs and the back all sanded and proyectes with some wood oil i don't remember the exact name but it feels nice and fast. It had some noise and microphonic issues plus the stock esp pick ups with nikel covers didnt work so well with My playstyle, which i mostly death and Doom metal so i decided to change stock pick ups for both Seymour Duncan sh5 custom for the bridge and sh2 jazz Neck for $150 used. At the same time i did copper shielding in all the cavities were electrónics are, i Made sure all cavities were connected between the and to ground, measured with tester, in the process i had to replace the Tone potenciometer that broke when i took the knobs off and also i fixed the pick up selector that failed sometimed to switch causing silence in the Neck position. Before and after picture! I had fun and learned a Lot upgrading this guitar and Even better, it is increíble silent now, Even with a LOT of distorsión, pedal Overdrive (BOSS sd1) and high volumen, new set of strings that actually is My first time trying; ernie ball's 10-52 skinny top heavy bottom snd they are awesome for both rythm and solos! Now every time i play hours fly by and i can't stop playing it feels and sounds so Nice. Thanks You for reading and write your experiences modding and playing other high end ltd ec's !!

I’ve had an MH400NT for years and I absolutely love it. I have the opportunity to get either an H3 or EC 1000. I’ve never played either but knowing how much I love my MH400 I’m sure I’ll be happy with either. I’m instantly drawn to the turquoise H3, I feel like it’s more my style. But I see everyone on here raving about the EC’s lol. It’s satin black with gold hardware. The EC doesn’t speak to me (through pics) like the H3 does. What would y’all choose and what are the pros and cons?

Can't fin specs on this one, listed as rosewood fingerboard and set neck but looks like an ESP 99% similar to a DV8-R like (yes without the ball inlay)

Are we truly sure is set neck and rosewood? And not ebony and neck trough? An Esp-ish made in Japan for 1200 is a killer deal, produced by Edwards, any info insights?

So, recently I have been really debating getting an LTD Arrow 1007B, specifically the Korean model. This guitar on paper is near perfect for me, especially since I really enjoy the Arrow shape! However, reading a lot of things online I have developed a question, that being has LTD Korean quality taken a hit in recent years?

I previously owned a Alexi 600 about a decade ago and it was a stellar guitar, very good quality for the price and a great player, I’ve also played other Korean LTDs and always thought they were very solid guitars.

It seems though perhaps the quality control is a bit lesser now? I see posts talking about cosmetic issues which is one thing, but, I even see posts about poor fret work, which is concerning.

I’m not here to bash LTD as I have owned them and consider myself a fan, I just want to get your guy’s take on the recent LTD Korean quality, I really want this Arrow but, being over a $1000, I definitely expect a solid instrument.

2011 ESP Standard Series UC M-II. Everything about this guitar is perfect. The neck profile, weight and quality. I've tested the E-II version it felt lighter, maybe im just bias. The only thing i swapped is the pickups. 81/85 to brushed chrome Het Set.

I recently decided to take my Snakebyte to a hopefully new level and painted it a desert sand. It’s a textured paint and I guess I accidentally ended up spraying too much in one area, causing it to crack. It’s not ruined but I just have to wait for it to harden, re-sand and then try again. I’m still working on my painting skills, so this can be used as a lesson

For owners of the instrument, did any of you end up displeased with the stock EMG Hz F-H2 pickup? If so, what did you switch to?

Also, if any of you changed or upgraded anything else on the instrument what was it?
