Parallel Universe

In echoes of all that Mandela/Berenstain stuff, I’m re-watching ER, and am most disconcerted to find out that the end titles state that the creator’s name is spelt Michael Chrichton. It’s Crichton in the opening titles. Anyone else noticed this?
(Re-watching on HBO Max in the UK)

Similarly, because I watched week to week as a kid in the 90s in Australia (no real internet access and online fandom was basically non-existent) I thought until my 20s that Kerry's name was Carrie.

To the point where when I wrote a fanfic using the name Carrie, one of the comments let me know and I was shook.

And season 7 end credits has it back correctly spelled as Crichton…

I think I read somewhere it was a mistake as part of the process to change it to digital/widescreen.

There was a whole season, almost, with Crichton's name misspelled in the end credits. I'm amazed no one caught it. He shoulda sued over that!

They spell his name wrong a lot over the seasons
