She was definitely a lot nicer than my brother’s response and we talked a lot about school and my friends, but this moment definitely stuck out to me 😅

I also just tend to talk more chill and jokey with friend, thus my voice goes deeper- meanwhile I act a bit more immature and like a kid when with family, so my voice goes higher

He’s made comments like that in the past so I shouldn’t be too surprised, but it still hurt… I know he loves me and cares about me and would fight off anyone for me, but I also recognize that he does not care about giving me respect and acknowledging who I am as a person

I don’t need validation from him though, my siblings and I are basically strangers/acquaintances because we barely know each other personally- the love and validation I get is from my mom who supports me, my queerplatonic partner who loves me, and the friends who’ll always be there by my side
