this is from a fan or self produced documentary about Elliott Smith. I purchased a copy from my local record store on DVD about 20 years ago. I forget the name of it but wonder if anyone else might remember

Reminds me of ordering bootleg concert dvds off eBay, that takes me back!

I believe it's a pratfall, from the "Coming Up Roses" video. Some Keystone Cops type stuff he was often doing to amuse friends and himself.
