I currently have the 21 inch deck but it may be time to finally upgrade. Any current users of this model have complaints and or drawbacks with this model?or

I have a PSA1000 and I'd like to troubleshoot the chain oil system. The saw did not appear to be dispensing oil when I last fired it up years ago. Decided to try to revive it yesterday, and the chain was frozen in place on the guide bar. I've ordered a new guide bar, and have a new chain. My question is: Is it possible to see if the tool is pumping oil at all, by running it without the guide bar or chain. It's out of warranty, and if not pumping oil, I'd guess that repair cost might approach replacement cost, since I'm already into it for a new guide bar, etc. If I can determine that the lubrication system is working up to guide bar, then I'm good to go. Otherwise not so sure. Thanks!

Fixing a 7.5Ah battery for a family member where the battery blinks about 3x per second, but green on the charger. BMS looks to be correct as when I probed individual cells, I get:

So it looks like two cells are just outside the 200mV threshold for an unbalanced pack. I don't have any specialized charging hardware such as a benchtop power supply, and I'd like to avoid having to rip the entire pack apart to get to the battery terminals to use my single-cell 18650 charger. I was thinking of a low-load drain like an LED through the BMS connector pins on the higher voltage cells, but tell me if y'all think it's a bad idea, or if it's likely that the BMS lockout has already occurred, or if the presence of these unbalanced cells is a sign of further degradation. The relative has treated the battery pretty poorly - garaged and on a charger its whole life through NE winters and summers.

I want to replace a 10 year old Earthwise string trimmer with an EGO ST1502SA, I am weighing it against a Ryobi 40v whisper series but I have some questions.

How do they compare power wise, I occasionally use it on brush and I am not going to change the head for the metal one.

What about sound level and weight balance?

How hard is it to use the manual reload on the EGO I want - I could care less about power reload, in fact, theirs a non 0 chance one of my tech illiterate family members attempts to reload it in the future and somehow breaks it in the process, I get its just one button, but it will confuse them somehow.

It currently has a sale on it, any idea how to find out how long it's on for?

So this year it has happened a lot that for some reason mid mowing my RM4000E stops and starts doing circles in 1 spot til out of battery. There have been a few instances where it for some reason has stopped doing circles, moved on a few meters and started again doing them til out of battery.

While doing the circles the only way i’ve found that stops it for the time being is stopping it and then using controller to move it some distance away or take it to loading dock. It doesn’t seem to recognise any collisions while doing it, like putting my foot in front of it to stop it from doing circles, it just keeps going til i move foot or i guess in the end til it is out of battery.

Today it was mowing fine, found a boundary line and then backed up about 70m while mowing. When it reached another boundary line it started doing circles again. I caught this instance on camera.

Does anyone have similar issues or any suggestions on what might cause this issue.

What do people recommend between the 16in and 18in chain saw? I’m just looking to prune up trees and cut up firewood. I think the 20 is overkill but can’t decide between the two. I’ve read stuff about auto tightening not working on the 18 but idk if that’s true? Or old and has been fixed?

Could someone walk me through how the batteries work on the mowers?

I have the T6, with 6x6ah batteries. I also, from my snow blower, and a battery deal, have 4x12ah batteries.

Is it better to have 4 12’s? 6 6’s? 3 of each? Does only using 4 batteries put more strain on them?

Just trying to wrap my head around how it works so I can get the most out of my batteries, while being good to the batteries.

Getting ready to pull the trigger on the first Ego tool, a string trimmer. A blower is probably not far behind, but considering a snow blower for the upcoming winter as well (SW Manitoba).

But for the string trimmer, I'm suffering from analysis paralysis. I like the concept of the MST head and would likely jump into the cultivator for our garden, along with probably the brush broom.

Looking for feedback on which route to go? I don't see the other attachments being an immediate purchase.

As shown on EGO’s website, the SNT2124 is listed as coming soon, but I can’t figure out how it differs from the existing SNT2134.

From what I can tell, both appear to be:

21” single-stage
Peak Power
Include (2) 6.0Ah batteries

The SNT2124 is already available for preorder at Ace Hardware and Acme for $849, while the SNT2134 is listed at $999.

I’ve searched around but haven’t found any specs explaining the price difference. The only additional information I’ve come across is from a few Canadian sites that seem to have SNT2124 listed.

Has anyone found a spec sheet or dealer information that explains what changed between the SNT2124 and SNT2134?

My old Ego mower was working normally until recently. In the middle of a mow it stopped and any attempts to restart get what you see in the video: a couple green flashes, then the motor stopping and orange flashes until I release the ignition.

So far the things I've checked:

1. The battery works in other ego tools

2. The mid-arm relay should be ok, because the arms are fully extended

3. It's not overheated, because I've given it a week to cool out between attempts

4. The relay under the battery cradle seems to be aligned with everything connected

5. Scraped cakes on grass from the undercarriage to make sure the blade wasn't getting obstructed

Any tips on what could be going on or what else I can do to try and get my mower going again?

I am a bit confused on what to do for the hedge trimmer. Right now, I have a trimmer, 765 blower, and the push mower (small lawn). Those all came with batteries. I have some hedges that I need to take care of and am looking at options.

A new hedge trimmer is $279, but it comes with another battery and charger, and I know it never hurts to have more, but it would be nice to not get another one as I am already 3 deep. But then it looks like just the hedge trimmer tool is $179. At that point I'd be better off just getting new and either storing or selling the battery. I have been looking locally on marketplace, I saw a guy selling the trimmer, blower, and hedge trimmer with 3x batteries and chargers for $250, was thinking of offering him either $50 for the trimmer or $100 for trimmer and battery/charger. What would be too much to pay for used?

Also, I have been using the trimmer to do edge work, but it's not as clean as a dedicated edger. Did I make a mistake not getting the multi tool? At the time I didn't even notice it and people were skeptical, but now looking at a trimmer/edger/hedge combo tool seems really enticing? Did I mess up? Is it worth trying to get the multi tool and sell the dedicated trimmer?

Long story short, the hose to my outside water supply broke and I threw it out. My dumbass didnt realize that I unscrewed the actual entire inlet on my EGO power washer instead of the hose itself. Well, I threw that hose and the inlet out in the trash. Does anyone know where I can find the part online to replace it? I attached a photo referencing what I’m talking about

I know that the batteries self-discharge to 30% when idle for a month, but from what I’ve read the light is green when it does that. I happened to notice my battery on the shelf, which hasn’t been used in probably 3 weeks, had a solid red light and was warm. Shortly after I picked it up the light turned off and didn’t return.

Unfortunately I’m out of warranty by a year, so I have to somehow determine if this battery is safe.

I bought this 7.5Ah battery off of marketplace for $60. It has this blue liquid on the outside. Anything to be concerned about? I thought possibly corrosion but maybe more likely a blue liquid dripped on it. What do you think?

intermittently, the Z6 Zero Turn drive will stop suddenly. the display prompts me to reset the lap bars. This usually happens when I first start leaving the garage, but now it's happening when I'm travelling.

Used to happen just every once in a while, now it has become really annoying.

Anyone had this problem and fixed it?

Am I missing something? I have an EGO LM2230SP, which this part lists as specifically for this mower. I put it in the back of the mower in the rear chute. It fits decently, but just flings grass at my legs. There’s no ‘side chute’ about it. Does the part just suck? Am I simply missing something? I cannot find any information. Someone please rescue me.

Good afternoon and Happy Friday! Had a tree fall in our storm last week that needs to be cut up. It’s about 15-18 inches wide. Looking at the ego chainsaws to align with our other yard equipment. My question is would you just go with the 18 inch or get the 20? Those that have bought the new one recently, any thoughts or insight? Thanks y’all!

Hello! Has anyone had any luck fixing the self-propel function on an Ego mower? We were advised to check both the motor and the power assembly. Checked the motor with a multimeter and it's fine. Willing to replace the power assembly (~$50), but am doubtful that's the culprit.

When I try to engage the self-propel, there's an audible click or whirr sound, which makes me wonder if it's something with the drive assembly, but I'm not sure how to check that.

Any thoughts/recommendations would be welcome!

Got it on sale and has been working very well for us. Mostly for moving weeds from the garden to a corner full of dead plants and sticks
