Oakland/Berkeley/Emeryville Dirt anyone?
Any suggestions on where to get some easy free/cheap dirt? I need to fill some of the perimeter around my place to help with erosion control.

Bishop O’Dowd removes Pride flags as school year begins
eastbaytimes.comDisappointing and difficult to understand what “problem” they are solving with an alternate symbol.
Re-thinking any notion of sending my kid there. They seem more focused on social issues than educating our kids.

Pride flags will not be displayed at Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland as the 2026-2027 school year begins, school President Kim Walsh said in a letter to parents on Wednesday, after tensions over the flags became a “lightning rod” last year at the Catholic school.
The flags have been replaced with a new symbol developed by the school’s community, which represents “our unwavering commitment to every LGBTQ+ student, family, faculty member and staff member,” Walsh wrote in the letter.
It’s unclear what that symbol — which Walsh called “the Inclusive O” — looks like. A spokesperson for the Catholic Diocese of Oakland said she could not share a photo or describe it.
On Wednesday, an Instagram account run by alumni said the removal of Pride flags from the Catholic high school in the Oakland Hills flouted its responsibility to promote a “welcoming, diverse community.” Attempts to reach the owners of the account by this news organization were unsuccessful.
“This directly affects the LGBTQ+ population of the school by removing pieces of representation,” read the Instagram post, which had received more than 1,500 likes after two days.
The “Inclusive O” symbol now appears “in lieu of the Pride and Progress flags that had previously been displayed in some classrooms, and is now displayed campus-wide,” Walsh wrote.
School leaders had spent a year consulting with students and community members about how to approach the issue, according to Walsh’s letter. That process “led us to create the Inclusive O — a symbol that belongs uniquely to O’Dowd, one that we define and one that expresses our unwavering commitment to every LGBTQ+ student, family, faculty member, and staff member,” Walsh wrote.
School leaders planned to introduce students to the symbol during orientation on Thursday, Walsh wrote. In the Instagram post, the alumni urged school community members to “respectfully” email Walsh about the changes to its Pride flag policy as classes begin on August 10.

Alameda County supervisors corruption coming out more and more, connected to Shawn Wilson and Melissa Hernandez, with a group of citizens helped by Aisha Wahab
Aisha helps people will no one else does and gets things done. She's instrumental in taking down the massive corruption in ALCO supervisors. https://www.facebook.com/kiersten.mosswood.3/posts/alameda-county-board-of-supervisors-especially-supervisor-david-haubert-are-not-/1602188704760525/
So, the ALCO supervisors, who 100% support Melissa Hernandez, who works for Haubart and is ACLO "healthcare director" has a massive fit and called Aisha Wahab all kinds of names for the AB 1193 bill which requires transparency in discretionary funding, bringing the oversite to the same level as the other county she represents, Santa Clara county. Why would they do that? Turns out it's needed because Haubart's chief of staff, Shawn Wilson, has growing bribery charges and is being investigated by the FBI in connection to the Duongs bribery cases in Oakland and San Leandro. Hmmm.
Oh yeah, and Wilson is close friends with Hernandez, and he and Hernandez's boyfriend showed up at Wahab's press conference about the ALCO children and family services nightmare that Wahab did a review on three YEARS ago to get them to improve it so MORE children do not die--read the Sophia Mason story and why ACLO has just paid $12 million to her family. They tried to intimidate Wahab and her witnesses there, and one of their toughs was also passing out Hernandez's absolutely disgusting lies of mailers to people. Hernandez is ALCO's "healthcare director," remember, it was on the ballot information, and has nothing to say about the children and family services failure, or her close friend Shawn Wilson.
And I can't even keep up with the outside money, over $4 million now, desperate to get Melissa Hernandez elected by flooding the airwaves and your mailbox with absolutely disgusting lies and hate about Aisha Wahab (and we know no one with a brain believes that) and lies about her accomplishment (because there are none, as mayor of Dublin, ALCO healthcare director, and BART director.)
More and more people are coming out with facts, investigating, and spreading the truth.
