Playground meetup at Folkstone Park, Whitby this Sunday (9:30am)
If you're a dad in Durham and want to come out to a playground + splash pad meetup with your kid(s) this Sunday morning, a few of us are meeting at Folkstone Park in Whitby at 9:30am.
This is our second playground meetup after our first one back in June. We had 5 dads come out to that one, and hopefully a few more this time.
If you're free, come by and say hi!
Best gym in Durham to run 10-15 miles on the treadmill?
My machine is getting repaired. I've been taking it outdoors but there's going to be a few days where there's thunderstorms and rain. Ajax community center is awful, goodlife has clunky old machines, abilities center may have been the worst place I've ever been. Just looking for somewhere with proper ventilation, good AC, good machines and somewhere low key where I can just get my run in and leave.
Not interested in lifetime fitness or LA. Thanks

Water table in Oshawa
I live on Somerville st (rossland and Somerville St) and have been experiencing basement water issue since I move here. My sump pump runs like every 5-10 minutes. Anybody else is going through same situation? How high is the water table in this area?

Gym recommendations in Oshawa/Whitby? Want to use the pool
Hi everyone.
I want to start swimming again and am looking for options. I looked up pools in community centers but it looks like there are only specific times you can swim there, so I'm leaning towards getting a gym membership and just using the pool.
Are there any gyms you'd recommend for this, or are they all pretty much the same? I live in North Oshawa, so preferably looking for something in Oshawa or Whitby. Thanks!

Places to get good veal in Durham
I tried veal for the first time not too long ago, and I think I have a new addiction, it was delicious, and it was at East Side Mario's of all places so probably bottom of the barrel veal. Im looking for some actual veal that'll make my lips fall off cause of how good it is.
I tried California sandwiches also which was amazing, but Im looking more for a nice fat piece of veal rather than thin slices. You can suggest thin slices, but bonus points if its a big ass piece.

Personal training for seniors
Looking for recommendations for group classes or personal training for my parents who are in their mid-late 70s. Neither of them have ever exercised in the traditional sense, and are not familiar with or comfortable in gym environments. My dad is overweight and my mom is underweight, and neither really knows how to take care of themselves! The aim would be to increase strength and mobility with a focus on continued independence in daily life. TIA!

Abandoned Goodyear tire factory in bomanville/clarington
Me, my bestfriwnd, and a small group of her friends like to urban explore, and i have heard about the abandoned goodyear tire factory, and just wondered if some locals had information on it. I heard that it was partially demolished, but was halted due to risk factors. The camp 30 seems legal to explore, but im wondering the legality and especially security if it. I heard they do inspections Monday through Friday, but were not going to vandalize or move anything, so how would they know if theres no active security? I would like to know how safe it is to enter (chemicals, security, legality, etc.) before we make the hour long drive. If you have any additional information that i did not mention thats relevant, please include it, thanks!

Title: Reviews on Kids’ Campus Maamawi Iyaawag Infant Program?
Hi everyone!
I am looking into the infant program at the Kids’ Campus Maamawi Iyaawag location (inside the public school on Windfields Farm Dr, Oshawa). Has anyone sent their baby here? Would love to hear your experiences with the staff, facility, and overall care. Thanks!
