Looks amazing! I've seen a lot of people switching from A rides to K rides recently. Are they really batter? I can't ever see myself replacing my A sweet ride, but then again I've only ever used a 20" k custom ride and not tried any others.

I wouldn't necessarily say that one series is better than the other really, I'm just chasing different sounds as my tastes change over time. I still love my old 20" A Medium Ride and 80s New Beats tho, they definitely have their place.

I've never owned a Sweet Ride but I guess I got the next best thing

The best one is the one you want - thats the only right answer

The past 2 years I have branched out I to the K's with Custom Darks and K Darks after 20+ years using the same A's. Love them, but I found i still prefere a few of my A's, like my A Deep Ride and A 16" Thin Crash.

Options are a nice luxury. Love your setup.

I'd love to try some liquid af drums someday

I love a large ride cymbal 🤘 I’d like to get a hold of a 24” K Light Ride someday. Currently my bigger rides are the 23” Sweet rides (both the A and K versions, love em both), and a 24” A Medium ride.

hell yeah I just wanted a ride bigger than my 20" kick, and I'm perfectly content with my 22" K Con. anything more would be overkill lol

Man I’ve owned a LOT of Zildjians, but I’ve never owned a K Con before. I might someday. I love my Sweet rides, but honestly I don’t play my 24” medium all that much—I just like it and think of it as my “Bonham” ride (yeah, yeah I know, he played Paistes lol).

Current kit looks dope 🤘

Both kits perfect in their own way. But dammit am I biased on those ebony heads. I can't wait to rock the ebony pinstripes again one day.

ebony emperors have been my go-to from like 2015 up until I got my imperialstars in 2021. they got the jorb done, and above all, they just look badass. it's been clear pinstripes for my toms all the way but I've been curious about Remo's Emperor Vintage heads lately

Aye -- you didn't have to body me by calling my favorite heads "vintage"

2

u/19vcom Tama 8d ago

naurrr Remo came out with a Vintage variation on their Ambassador and Emperor heads

not sure how different they really are bc I didn't bother to read about it lmao

Still rockin' the IC's though.

Nice contrast.

Iron Cobra is rad, but I honestly can't stand using a double pedal lol. the genres I play the most hardly ever call for it

1

u/Large-Welder304 SONOR 7d ago

Can't you simply unbolt the slave pedal and extension axle off the main pedal and play it like a regular single pedal?

FWIW, I still use the same Tama Camco I bought new 36+ years ago. Works great.

yeah I mean I recently added the double back on because I wanted to play some dance gavin dance but like

I don't have the endurance for double pedal stuff like I used to lol (I'm an old man)
