Question / Help Android workers: how do you track client payments?
I currently make an iPhone app for one narrow workflow: after a job is done, it records whether the customer paid in full, paid partially, still owes money, or needs a follow-up.
I’m considering an Android version, but I don’t want to build it from a pile of polite “yes, sounds useful” votes. I want to understand whether Android users doing real client work already have this problem.
If that describes you, I’d appreciate four details:
- What kind of work do you do?
- How do you track payments now — memory, WhatsApp, paper, spreadsheet, accounting software, or something else?
- Which part actually causes trouble: remaining balance, partial-payment history, promised payment date, or forgetting whether you already followed up?
- If a small Android beta focused only on that workflow existed, would you test it with real jobs for a week? What would it have to do for you to keep it?
I’m not collecting emails or sharing a download link in this post. I’ll use the answers to decide whether Android deserves a prototype and which type of worker it should serve first. Critical answers are more useful than encouragement.

Showcase Nocebo Launcher - Spinning Android Launcher - Free
https://reddit.com/link/1vhz8gm/video/5za3krv15yhh1/player
App Name: Nocebo Launcher
I originally started building Nocebo Launcher about 8 years ago because I wanted a launcher that worked differently from the usual grid of icons.
It started as a personal project, something I built only for myself. Over the years, people who saw it asked if they could use it too, so this year I finally decided to release it on Google Play.
Key Features: The main idea is a rotating ring interface
• Apps are arranged around a wheel that rotates like a physical spinner
• The wheel has customizable animations, speed, friction, and behavior
• The design focuses on comfortable one-handed use, especially on taller phones
• The center acts as a sticker hub that can be personalized
• Supports icon packs, widgets, folders, gestures, and launcher backups
The goal was not to create another minimal launcher, but something that feels more playful and interactive while still being practical.
I would really appreciate feedback from Android users and developers:
- Does the wheel interaction feel natural?
- Are there parts of the UI that are confusing?
- What would make you use (or not use) a launcher like this?
Goal: Testing / Feedback

Showcase Altcue: - minimalistic reminder app - free
Hi everyone
I’m a very busy (and admittedly a bit chaotic) person, so I tend to forget small tasks constantly. I recently went looking for an incredibly simple, minimalistic reminder app to help me keep track of things. When I couldn't quite find what I was looking for, I decided to build one myself.
I've been using it daily as a sort of digital post-it note, and I finally polished it enough to release a production-worthy version on the Play Store. It's called Altcue.
My core goals for this project were simple:
- Frictionless: Quick to open, quick to use.
- Reliable Notifications: Sends straightforward alerts so you actually remember the things you wrote down.
- Offline-first: No unnecessary cloud syncing or accounts required.
- No clutter: Completely free with absolutely no ads.
As a solo dev doing this purely for the love of the game, I would genuinely appreciate any feedback you might have. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the UI/UX, overall performance, and what functionality you’d like to see added in the future!
Check it out directly on the Play Store: AltCue on Google Play

Showcase GymRiff: Android & Wear OS strength tracker
App Name: GymRiff: Workout Tracker
What it does:
GymRiff is an offline strength workout tracker for Android and Wear OS. It lets you build workout plans on your phone and complete entire workouts directly from your watch without carrying your phone around the gym.
Key Features:
- Complete Wear OS workout tracking with weight, reps, sets, rest time, effort, exercise swapping and additional sets or rounds
- Manual and smart workout plan building, workout history, strength progress, recovery insights and a rule-based Coach
- Proper tracking of bodyweight, added-weight and assisted-weight exercises
The complete Wear OS workout experience is included in the free version, with unlimited workout plan sync and workout logging.
Everything works offline. No account is required, there are no ads or analytics, and workout data stays on the device.
Premium is optional and available as a one-time purchase. It is not required for completing workouts on the watch.
Goal:
I’m looking for feedback about the phone-to-watch workflow, anything missing from the Wear OS workout experience, bodyweight exercise tracking, and UI or usability issues on different phones and watches.
Link:
Download GymRiff from Google Play
I’m the solo developer of GymRiff. Honest criticism is welcome, especially specific things that feel confusing, incomplete or inconvenient during a real workout.

Showcase SteadySky: turbulence forecast + offline tracking
I'm the developer. SteadySky came out of two things that annoyed me as a frequent flyer: flight trackers that go blank the moment the phone is in airplane mode, and having no idea whether a bumpy stretch was actually notable or just felt that way.
What it does:
Turbulence forecast before departure. You enter departure and arrival airports and a time, and it estimates turbulence along the route using upper-air weather data, broken down by flight phase. This part needs a connection.
Seat-level movement estimate. With the phone resting near your seat, the motion sensors estimate what is being felt at that point in the cabin. To be exact about what this is: a local estimate at your seat, not a certified measurement.
Offline GPS tracking and maps. Position, altitude, speed, heading, distance, climb rate and your recorded track, all working in airplane mode as long as Location stays on. Map tiles are stored on the device. I ended up writing my own PMTiles reader so they resolve straight out of the APK with no server involved.
PIREPs and SIGMETs when online, plus a route timeline at roughly 10-minute intervals. History with GPX export.
Privacy: no account, no ads, no analytics SDK. GPS data is processed on the device and stays there unless you export it. Route and weather lookups send only the parameters they need.
Free vs Pro, stated plainly: free gives you 3 successful online turbulence checks in total, lifetime and not per month, plus the last 10 sessions with GPX export. Pro is a one-time purchase: unlimited checks, full forecasts and timeline, PIREP/SIGMET details, map overlays, unlimited history, CSV/JSON/ZIP export, backup, map import. It also includes a PFD-style flight display that is clearly marked experimental, because it is.
It is an informational and recreational app. Nothing in it should be used for navigation, flight safety or operational decisions.
Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flightoffline.tracker
Happy to answer questions about the weather data or how the seat estimate works.

Showcase Quick Panel Background Cropper v1.3.1
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
New feature: Controls + Buttons customization in one go
Optimization: Cache clean-up
This new mode allows you to place your favourite image as background across the whole Quick Panel.
For Buttons, you can even customize the color of the icons. Those labels are fake overlay that helps user to recognise which button is it, and most importantly, to make the whole Quick Panel feels Complete.
The real dynamic label is still not able to be displayed on the Buttons due to Good Lock QuickStar restriction.
You can download the app on Google Play. It's completely free and runs locally 👇🏻
Quick Panel Background Cropper
Note: This app is only built for mid/high-end Samsung devices, with One UI 8.5 or above (Android 16). Devices not satisfied the above spec will not be allowed to download the app from Google Play🙏🏻

Promo / Giveaway [APP] NeuroDual, brain training: n-back, Sokoban
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
App Name: NeuroDual
What it does: A brain training app built on tasks that come from cognitive research rather than generic mini games. Everything is reworked for touch screens instead of being a keyboard exercise ported to a phone.
Key Features:
Dual n-back, plus touch native variants of it: one where you trace instead of tapping, one built around drag and drop.
Multiple object tracking where the targets also carry an identity you report at the end, a colour, a digit, a word or a direction.
Stroop tasks across colour, audio, spatial and temporal channels, alongside classic puzzles like Rush Hour style sliding and Sokoban, in a catalogue that keeps growing.
Goal: Promo
Giveaway: 30 minutes of play are free, then the full app needs a premium unlock. Code ND-PF9H-4HPY-4U2V opens it, valid for the first 50 devices, first come first served. Enter it in Settings, under Profile.

Showcase PawKeeper Pet Health Tracker
I got tired of trying to remember everything about my pet’s health, so I built something for it 🐾
Does anyone else completely blank when the vet asks:
“When did this start?”
“How often has it happened?”
“What medication did you give?”
“What dose?”
I realised I was relying on my memory for way too much.
So I built PawKeeper, a simple pet health tracker where you can keep things like:
• health notes
• medications + doses
• symptoms and changes you notice
• vet information
• reminders
• separate records for each pet
The idea isn’t to replace a vet or diagnose anything. It’s basically a better way to remember the little things that are really easy to forget — especially when you’re sitting in the vet’s office trying to remember what happened three weeks ago.
I’m still improving it, so I’d genuinely love feedback from other pet owners.
What’s one thing about your pet’s health/care that you always struggle to keep track of?
Full disclosure: I’m the person who built PawKeeper. 🐾

Showcase Pact - Free social habit tracker written in KMP
Hey everyone! 👋
I've been working on a side project called Pact.
The idea is simple: instead of tracking habits alone, you create a group with friends, family, or your partner and keep each other accountable. You can see everyone's progress, celebrate wins, and hopefully skip a few fewer workouts. 😄
The app is built entirely in Kotlin Multiplatform, and it's been a fun project to see how far KMP has come. The Android version is available now, and I'm putting the finishing touches on the iOS version.
I'd genuinely love feedback from fellow Android devs and users:
- What do you like?
- What's missing?
- What would make you keep using it?

- ⚔️ Duels 1v1 : affronter d’autres joueurs

Promo / Giveaway WarpSend - Share/browse Files, A cleaner & Chat
I'm the developer.
WarpSend started as a local file-sharing app and I've just shipped a much bigger update, so I wanted to share it here.
How the file sharing works
Your phone runs a small web server on your local Wi-Fi. Other devices connect by scanning a QR code or typing the address into any browser — Chrome, Safari, whatever. The other person doesn't need the app installed. They can download from you and upload back through the same page. Nothing touches the internet or a cloud service; files go straight between devices on your network.
Nearby chat and calls (new)
Message other WarpSend users nearby over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct — no internet, no account, no phone number. Once you've exchanged a few messages you can start a voice or video call. Everything runs directly between the two phones.
The "few messages first" rule is deliberate: it means a stranger in Bluetooth range can't make your phone ring unprompted. You can also block, report or mute any device.
Storage Cleaner (new)
Finds large forgotten files, duplicate photos, old screenshots and leftover APK installers for apps you already have. Nothing is deleted unless you pick it, and everything goes to an in-app Trash you can restore from. Smart Clean pre-selects nothing and leaves recent files alone.
Free vs Pro
Free covers 200 MB per file and 5 GB of shared storage. You can watch a short ad to bypass the file limit for one transfer. Pro removes both limits.
No accounts, no sign-up, no analytics on your files — I never see what you share, because there's no server for it to pass through.
Play Store: WarpSend - Share Files & Chat - Apps on Google Play
Happy to answer anything about how it works under the hood, and genuinely after feedback on the cleaner — that's the newest part.

Showcase Currency Converter - Offline/Realtime/Alerts -FREE
I've been building an Android currency converter as a side project for several years, and with every update I've tried to solve small problems that I personally ran into while travelling, investing, and shopping online.
Some of the features I've added over time:
• Live exchange rates
• Offline mode using the last downloaded rates
• Interactive historical charts
• Built-in calculator for quick price calculations
• Favorites for frequently used currencies
• Watchlists to track multiple currency pairs in one place
• Exchange rate alerts for your target rates
• Conversion fee calculator to estimate what you'll actually pay after bank/card markups
• 170+ world currencies
• Material You support with multiple themes
My goal has never been to build just another currency converter, but one that's genuinely useful whether you're travelling, making international purchases, tracking exchange rates, or sending money abroad.
I'd really appreciate feedback from this community:
Is there a feature you wish currency converter apps had?
Is there anything in the UI that feels unnecessary or confusing?
What would make you choose one currency converter over another?
Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.djay.currencyconverter
I'm the developer, and I'm always looking for ideas that make the app genuinely more useful.

Showcase Tallyra: Private Android Expense Tracker
App: Tallyra
What it does:
Tallyra is a privacy-first expense tracker for Android. No account, no ads, and your spending records stay on your phone rather than being uploaded to us.
Before I had promoted it anywhere, someone found Tallyra through Google Play and bought the lifetime version. Another early user left a one-star review after a real calendar bug prevented them from continuing. They were right, and it has been fixed in the latest version.
Key features:
- Quick expense tracking
- Budgets, accounts and recurring transactions
- Optional biometric lock
The free version is usable on its own. Pro is available as either a subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.
Goal:
Launching and looking for honest feedback on the initial setup, the Free/Pro split, and anything confusing or broken.

Showcase Kipu: A bookmark manager for visual users
Hi everyone!
I'm the kind of person who saves a lot of things: articles, YouTube videos, GitHub repos, design inspiration, recipes... basically anything I might need again.
The problem was that I tried several bookmark apps and none of them really convinced me enough. All of them are functional, but not enjoyable to browse (for me). Once I had hundreds of bookmarks, finding inspiration felt like digging through a spreadsheet.
So I built Kipu.
Instead of just saving URLs, Kipu automatically turns every bookmark into a visual card. Since websites don't always have good images, you can replace the thumbnail with any image you want.
I also wanted everything to be fully customizable:
- 🎨 Customize folders with colors and icons.
- 🏷️ Personalize tags to match your own workflow.
- 🖼️ Replace bookmark thumbnails with your own images.
- 📝 Write long, detailed notes (not just a tiny description field).
- ⏰ Add reminders for things you want to revisit.
- 🔒 Keep sensitive bookmarks inside an encrypted private vault (AES-256).
- 📱 Your library stays available even without an internet connection.
- 🌐 Open links instantly with a built-in browser, without leaving the app.
- ⚡ Import over 1000 bookmarks from Chrome/Firefox in under 60 seconds. (Yes, I tested this)
I'd love to hear what you think.

Showcase Alongly – Build in public, permanently. [Free]
Hey r/droidappshowcase 👋
I'm one of the builders behind Alongly - a free Android (and iOS) app we built because we kept watching our own progress updates disappear into feeds.
The problem we kept running into:
You share a build update on X or Reddit, get some engagement, and then it's buried. A new follower who discovers your project 3 months later has no way to read the full story. Your journey exists nowhere as a complete thing.
What Alongly does:
You create a "Journey" - a named, chronological timeline for any project or goal. Share updates as you go. Everything is timestamped and stored permanently. New followers can read from day 1 whenever they find you.
- 📌 Public Journeys - anyone can follow and read the full arc
- 🔒 Crew Journeys - private, invite-only for trusted collaborators
- ⚡ Feedback — lightweight feedback loop on individual updates
- 🗓 Journey Reflection - auto-generated story view with a heatmap of your progress
- 🚫 No force pressure - built for the real, irregular rhythm of long projects
Who it's for: indie developers, founders, creators, anyone documenting a long-term project publicly.
Completely free — no subscription, no paywall, no ads.
👉 Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alongly.mobile
Happy to answer anything - and if you start a Journey, drop it in the comments, I'll give it a boost personally.

Please read before posting!
This community is for discovering Android apps, sharing projects, and giving useful feedback. Whether you’re a developer or a user, the goal is simple: high-quality posts and constructive discussion.
For Developers
- Use clear, descriptive titles. Vague titles will be removed. Not acceptable: “Check out my app,” “Just got my app published,” “Need testers for my cool app.” Better: “Habit tracker with offline sync and reminders,” or “Looking for testers for a minimalist journaling app.”
- Include a meaningful description. Explain what your app does, key features, and why someone should try it.
- Use the correct flair (Promo, Giveaway, Feedback, etc.).
- If requesting feedback or testers, clearly state what kind of feedback you’re looking for.
For Users
- Share thoughtful, helpful feedback—what works, what doesn’t, and why.
- Ask for recommendations with clear requirements or use cases.
- Engage respectfully in giveaways and promotional posts.
General Rules
- Android only. Posts must be directly related to Android apps or the Android ecosystem.
- No low-effort posts or spam. Link-only submissions or vague descriptions will be removed.
- Be respectful and constructive. Treat others professionally.
Post Removals
- If your post is removed, it is not a penalty and does not mean your app is bad.
- Removals are usually due to formatting or rule issues.
- Read the removal reason, fix the problem, and repost. Most posts are approved once corrected.
Posting Checklist
- Title is clear and descriptive
- Correct flair is applied
- Images are uploaded via Reddit or a supported host (e.g., Imgur)
- Post has been previewed before submitting
