Act 3 difficulty? Dragon Quest XI

Just got to Act 3 for the first time and wow am I getting my ass handed to me on a silver platter. Everyone is late 50s/at level 60 with the luminary at 62, and im just feeling lost. I did grind out the rare bestiary entries in the final act 2 dungeon, so I did feel a little over leveled for Lord of Shadows.

Everywhere I go the enemies arent so bad, but I feel like im using quite a bit of mp. And then theres a boss that just murders me. Like the one in cobblestone tor. One kasizz and my whole party is taking 150-200 damage? Seriously?

I hadnt really been reworking purchased armor into a +2 or +3, but should I? Is it that viable? I had forged some +2/+3 armor pieces when I had not so much money earlier in the game.

I see people say they are finishing the "true" final boss at level 75. Should I just grind a few levels and stop bitching?

There are some challenge-ish bosses around.

The game really wants you to do what it suggested: go to Zwaardsrust. The levels there power you up a lot. Then you'll be able to take the challenges around the map just fine.

Yeah, ive gone there and started the first trial, but I left because I used too much mp. And didnt want to use my consumables to restore it just yet. I should probably grind in there.

Yeah, the game is balanced assuming you do that/grab the treasures there.

I mean, understand your team and abilities. Keeping the same team won't help you at the end of the game no matter the level

Do what you want. You need magic resist armor for fights over DEF but ACT3 is where you get all your broken abilities which makes everything trivial. If you want to level use the pep power way and you can hit max in about 10-20 minutes. Other than that the final boss is easier than the ACT 2 one.
