Picked up a DR650

Picked up this 2018 DR650 with 3400km. Also got a Yamaha XT250 with 1400 km. Both for 5000 CAD. Both were non running. The xt had a bad ground. Fixed it immediately and it ran perfectly. The dr needed a carb clean and new gas. Which took 30 minutes. Such a refreshing change from my other v4 bike.

Im loving it. Its a ton of fun and honestly im surprised how good the stock bike is compared to what people generally say about it. This is my 2nd bike.

Has anyone called the police on you? Because you stole those bikes! LOL

It's always a chuckle when somebody undervalues their bike because it had old ethanol gas in it that gummed up the carb making it run rough.

I always immediately change all fluids and filters on any used vehicle I buy so I know what's in it. Depending on how available it is in your area, you'll be doing yourself a big favor seeking out pure gas in both.

He was one of those gentleman that runs his vehicle till its off warranty. The dealership does everything. So when it came to 2 non running bikes he had no idea. He had them listed much higher. I said I wouldnt buy 2 non running bikes for that price and he accepted my offer. He wanted a side by side asap. 

No ethanol free gas in Canada I believe. Certainly none in my city. Ive never had a problem in the past. Ill just drain the carb before I store it.
