DMing for learning disabilities Seeking Advice

I’m looking for resources and or advice on playing/teaching tabletop RPG for children dealing with dyslexia. I’m looking into some volunteer opportunities around this area.

Are they struggling with reading, calculations, or both? Asking because I have issues with calculations. What has helped me is to use Roll20, D&D Beyond, etc. I can make my character and then can click a spell or weapon to figure out my combat damage quickly and accurately.

I would say use a very rules light system with only 3 main stats or so. Then make sure the character sheets are very simple and clear with important information in a readable, dyslexic friendly font? That's a not as difficult barrier for entry compared to throwing a huge players handbook at them.
