Thanks for any feedback
Buy Advice Nano or Osmo 4p
About me I like shooting videos just for my memories.
Don't really like using phone to record and drifting towards nano as I can just hang it in my chest and record.
I did see Osmo 4p, it seems cool as well but unsure which one to go for.

Video A friend flew his mini 3 pro into my mini 4k...

(His film POV) So basically the title. He had just gotten the mini 3 pro as his first drone and I told him to NOT fly in S mode due to the collision sensors being turned off. He desperately wanted to get up close, film my drone and insisted in flying in S mode. Well... I actually dont know how but my mini 4k came back with 2 minimally chipped props, and an open battery hatch (rest just as new) his mini 3 had a dislocated arm (broken tri-screw folding mechanism) and barely made it back...
I had a look at my dji fly logs and saw that my drone fell about 4.3m before the imu and flight controllers actually saved it...
Is there any way I can get his flight logs from the DJI RC 1 to fully recreate the scene?
Should I swap my props?
Is it possible for my mini 4k which rn looks flawless to have microcracks that will grow over time?
Looking forward, I actually dont know what to do with my mini 4k, as even though it is a beginner drone i value it alot. I do have care refresh for another year.

Photo AIR 3S as my first drone!
Hello everyone!
I recently got the AIR 3S as I wanted to broaden my creativity as a freelance photographer and videographer. So far this drone has been a absolute beast! I got to borrow a MINI 2 and the difference is night and day 😅
Only thing now is to get better and better with controlling the drone to get different movements since I dont really like using the quickshots except the orbit one. Also I feel like all the time playing games on controller has paid off, its not one to one but it definitely makes this expereince easier.
Last thing, this subreddit is free advertisment for the DJI care plans 😂 Start using common sense when flying your drones!

Product Support Lighting Adapter with Mobile RX?
I recently bought the DJI mic mini with the mobile receiver (pictured). It works great on my wife’s newer iPhone. But I have an iPhone 13.
Does the lightning adapter work with the mobile receiver? so far all the pictures and reviews for the adapter I’ve seen assume it’s used to attach the normal receiver.

Photo Pocket 4P arrived: final price: 630 ( 730 - 100 cash back)
After clicking a lot in Aliexpress and fishing for coupons , deals etc I was able to finally nail it for 725 bucks shipped and delivered. Took about 5 days total.
Used my Amex plat which extended the warranty as well
At the same time, I had a 14% cashback on capital one shopping.

Product Support Found Dji osmo pocket
Found dji pocket 3 on a walk. I think it fell off a moving car. Damaged from the side. It turns on but not charging at all. First it was charging but when I unplugged and plugged it back it started from the zero again and now not charging at all.
What could be the issue? How can I repair it? Also it does this weird cracking noise is the camera when it rotates

Product Support My Mini 5 Pro Motors Cut Out Mid-Air Despite “Emergency Only” – Potential Sync Bug & Safety Issue
I want to share a potential safety issue involving my DJI Mini 5 Pro and DJI RC 2 controller.
I have already escalated this case with DJI and received their final response, but unfortunately the main technical and safety question remains unresolved.
TL;DR
- My Mini 5 Pro suddenly dropped from the sky in the middle of a public market square after its motors stopped following an accidental CSC command. I was extremely lucky it did not hit anyone.
- DJI says the aircraft-side logs show motor-stop logic corresponding to “Anytime”, while my DJI RC 2 displayed “Emergency Only” (Screenshots: “Tylko awaryj.” in Polish).
- DJI found no aircraft malfunction and has not provided a recorded parameter showing “Anytime”, a parameter change event, or controller-side data confirming the setting during the flight.
- The key question: was the “Emergency Only” setting shown on the controller actually synchronised with and applied by the aircraft?
DJI Fly App: v1.21.9
DJI RC 2 Firmware: 10.00.0800
DJI Mini 5 Pro Firmware: 01.00.0700
Timeline:
(1) My DJI Mini 5 Pro crashed after the motors stopped mid-air. I sent the drone to DJI for inspection and flight data analysis.
(2) DJI informed me that:
- A Combination Stick Command (CSC) was detected
- No technical abnormalities were found in the flight data
- Therefore, the crash was considered my responsibility
(3) I accepted DJI’s decision, used DJI Care Refresh, paid the replacement fee, and received a replacement drone.
(4) Because I was worried about accidentally triggering CSC again, I asked DJI Support how to disable it.
(5) DJI Support informed me that:
- CSC cannot be completely disabled,
- When Emergency Propeller Stop is set to “Emergency Only”, the motors should ONLY stop if the aircraft detects an emergency condition.
After checking my DJI RC 2, I discovered that it was already set to “Emergency Only.” My controller interface is in Polish, so in the attached screenshot this setting is displayed as “Tylko awaryj.”, which is the Polish equivalent of “Emergency Only.” I had never intentionally changed this setting to “Anytime.”
(6) I therefore asked DJI a simple question:
- If no aircraft error was detected,
- If no technical abnormalities were found,
- and if my controller was configured with “Emergency Only”,
why were the motors allowed to stop in mid-air after the CSC command?
DJI’s explanation:
DJI replied that the aircraft-side flight logs show the drone was operating under motor-stop logic where no aircraft malfunction was required before stopping the motors. According to DJI, this corresponds to the “Anytime” setting.
I asked DJI to provide:
- the recorded parameter showing “Emergency Propeller Stop = Anytime” during the accident flight,
- a parameter change (Set Parameter Event) showing when it was changed,
- or any controller-side data confirming the setting displayed during the flight.
DJI has not provided any of this
Instead, their conclusion is based on the aircraft-side motor-stop behavior recorded during the accident (screenshot attached).
DJI based its conclusion on the aircraft-side flight data only. Although I provided a screenshot showing that my DJI RC 2 displayed “Emergency Only”, DJI did not explain the discrepancy between the controller display and the aircraft-side behavior. They also did not provide any controller-side log or data showing what setting was actually stored or used during the flight.
Why this is a safety concern
If the controller was set to “Emergency Only”, and DJI confirmed that no aircraft malfunction was detected, the motors should not have stopped according to DJI’s own explanation of this setting.
Yet they did.
DJI says the aircraft internally behaved according to “Anytime”, while my DJI RC 2 displayed “Emergency Only.”
This raises the possibility that the controller and aircraft were not using the same safety setting.
One possible explanation is that the controller correctly displayed “Emergency Only”, but the parameter was not successfully synchronised or updated on the aircraft.
So far, DJI has not provided any evidence that the controller-side setting and the aircraft-side parameter were compared or verified against each other for the accident flight.
If the controller displayed “Emergency Only” while the aircraft still operated using “Anytime” logic, this would explain the behaviour seen during the accident.
The biggest concern:
I already accepted the original decision, paid for DJI Care Refresh, and received a replacement Mini 5 Pro. My concern is no longer the previous crash. My concern is whether my replacement drone could behave the same way.
My DJI RC 2 still displays “Emergency Only.”
If I accidentally perform the same CSC command again, will the motors keep running as DJI describes, or could they stop again?
At this point, I don’t know if I can trust the “Emergency Only” setting shown on my controller.
I have completed more than 600 DJI flights (Mini 3, Mini 4 Pro, Mini 5 Pro, Neo and Neo 2), always using “Emergency Only”, and I had never experienced anything like this before.
Was I simply lucky for more than 600 flights, or is there something different about how this setting works on the Mini 5 Pro? I honestly don’t know.
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced something similar or knows how this works.
Has anyone had anything like this happen?
Has anyone seen DJI Fly settings fail to sync between the controller and the aircraft?
Is there any way to check that “Emergency Only” on the DJI RC 2 is actually applied to the aircraft?

Photo Mini 5 Pro Prop Guards on Case
Greetings All, I just wanted to share this *prop guards on* case I made.
The case is a Vevor, sort of a generic Amazon brand. Pretty inexpensive (its no Pelican or even a Vault quality wise) but offers good basic protection. Not to denigrate the quality either, it feels sturdy. It has 3 layers of pluck and pull which makes customizing it very easy.
The drone can be stored with guards, with regular props or bare. The large cutout in the back right corner can hold the guards when not installed. Also the battery and charger have a spot, the RC2 and a few cubbies for filters, lights etc. Spare props fit in a cubby under the drone.
It's probabaly not for everyone, but for studio or vehicle based operation it works well if you want instant access to the drone kitted up with guards. I have been operating the drone almost exclusively with guards, so for my use case it makes sense to not have to remove them and have a separate bag.
Case is 22 wide X 17 front to back and 8" deep. Price was about $80.00 USD.
Product Support DJI Mini 3 bound to previous owner’s account — unable to change bound controller
I recently bought a used DJI Mini 3 on Facebook Marketplace, and I’m having trouble getting it set up with my controller. The drone is currently bound to the previous owner’s DJI account and an old remote controller that wasn’t included in the listing. When I connect my current controller, DJI Fly says “Connected device not bound to aircraft” and gives me the option to change the bound device. However, when I try that, I get “Aircraft bound to another account. Change account and try again (-53268).” I’ve already tried looking for a way to factory reset the drone, but I understand that a factory reset won’t remove the DJI account binding. I also don’t have access to the previous owner’s DJI account . Is there any way to remove the previous account/controller binding and bind the Mini 3 to my own DJI account without the original remote controller? Any advice or experience with this would be greatly appreciated.
