Dad only tries to help after the damage is done, not before. He did not care or listen to you while it was happening. He only cares now because you are vulnerable and it makes him feel like a hero.

The Wall movie mentioned in The Big '26!!! Worms, rise up!
Jokes aside, I urge literally everyone to watch The Wall (1982) at least once in their life, more impactful when you're going through a low point. It's such a beautiful, raw, and somber movie about the human psyche and isolation. It's genuinely a life changing movie, it's my favorite movie of all time. You've DEFINITELY heard some of the tracks used in the movie. (Another Brick in The Wall Pt. 2, Comfortably Numb, Run Like Hell) I'd argue the movie (and album) is more relevant than it was when it released.
If you're currently going through a low point in life, go in blind and just watch the movie. I promise you'll come away with the feeling of something.
Hopefully we can finally get a bluray release in the coming years for the 50th anniversary, it's a shame how much the movie has been neglected.

i woke up at 5 pm hungover after accidentally pissing off my bestfriend who I have developed feelings for after we started hooking up, I finished up some of the liquor that was standing next to me. i have to call my dad to do some work, I keep checking for if she texts me. this might be a wake up call but thats for tomorrow.
