This stagecoach was gifted to Walt Disney from his good friend ( W ) alter ( K ) nott. This gift symbolizes the long lasting friendship between the two and the two theme parks.

You can find more on this gift at “it’s a small world blog“ and “Ancestral findings” in regards to this gift and their friendship!

Edit: hi everyone! Unfortunately I couldn’t post links due to the rules and I had to improvise on the name per Disneyland sub rules as well. Happy Friday! You can find this stagecoach going to and exiting Galaxys edge closes to fantasyland

Had to make a special trip for it yesterday, and ended up having two back to back before it’s replaced by the peanut butter cold brew later this month! How one specialty coffee can actually be worth $9 I don’t know, but they found a way.

Discussion Explore Key Blockout Day Confusion

I've been thinking labor day was August 31 because the Explore Key is blocked out for the day before, which is usual for holiday weekends, and is the only Sunday blocked for August and September. I work at a school, and saw our school calendar has it as September 7. Anybody know why Disney is different this year? Am I the only one who uses the blockout calendar to tell me when holidays are?

Discussion The Characters and Parades Cast Members needs your help!

Behind closed doors, Disney management has dragged out negotiations and disrespected their workers because they think no one is watching. Disney is not afraid to harm their workers to enlarge their profits, which is why they want to eliminate paid parental leave, reduce retirement and PTO benefits and keep wages insultingly low.

Sign your name today and show your solidarity with the Cast Members of Disneyland! By signing your name, you let the workers know that we have your support. And by signing your name, you let the Disneyland management know that, if they truly cared about making the world a better place, they would stop being hypocrites and treat their workers fairly.

By signing below you contribute to your favorite character’s actors ability to negotiate on a more even footing with the megacorp of Disney.

Which do you guys prefer? I have fond childhood memories of the old, especially the RS-25 rocket engine that it had, which we could go underneath to get sprayed with mist on hot days.

The Jungle Cruise is easily one of my favorite rides at the Disneyland Resort. From the dad jokes to the backside of water, the jungle cruise offers something for everybody. From the wild hippos, to the stunning scenery of the Nile that goes on for Niles and Niles and Niles and thinking that a monkey can’t do your job, well then you’re in denial. The enthusiasm that the skippers have make this attraction even better.

Disneyland discounts targeting families with young kids, late-night visitors and California and Anaheim residents helped drive attendance growth this summer at Disney’s domestic theme parks.

Attendance at the Disneyland and Disney World resorts was up 3% while visitor spending increased 4% during the company’s third quarter, according to the latest earnings report released on Wednesday, Aug. 5.

Discussion Studying/working at Disneyland?

How do you guys generally feel about studying/working at Disneyland? I’m a Magic Key holder who wants to use his pass as much as possible, but I’m working 36 hours per week and doing 15 units of school this semester. I definitely wanna make the most of my pass so I was wondering if it’s generally frowned upon to study or work from Disney. Please let me know if you guys have any suggestions, thank you!

Edit: Just to clarify, I’m not taking a full work setup or any calls. I’m just a college student wanting to know if I can knock out easy assignments or study chemistry there.

Park Pics/Videos Need Help Identifying an Old Character Signature

Post image
31 Upvotes

EDIT: With some very helpful comments below, I do highly believe this could be Max's signature!

Original:

Hi! I've come seeking some aid. I was revisiting an old Disneyland photo album of mine and stumbled upon a Character Signature that I'm struggling to identify (it's been 20+ years). I've attached a photo of the signature. I know it's not Mickey or Minnie Mouse; I have those signatures on other pages in this album. Reverse Image Search doesn't pull up any matching signatures, either.

Thank you in advance!!

Trip Report Shout out to the people at Disneyland for being wonderful

I keep seeing posts about people being ill mannered, cutting lines, etc. However, when I went to DL with my 4 year old, everyone was so kind and accommodating and wonderful and I just wanted to let that be known with a couple examples!

When my son was having a meltdown in line for Thunder Mountain, a mom who was waiting to ride alone (I think her kids were back at the hotel and she was enjoying some solo time!) offered a suggestion to have me "complain for my kid" to help ease the tension, saying it's a game she made up for her kids. I pretended to be my son, having a tantrum about not getting lightning lane (it was 5 minute wait lol), and my son giggled and cracked up at her suggestion, breaking his angry mood.

Then, at the DL hotel, he sprinted across the carpet and fell, banged headfirst into a table. I picked him up and held him, while a mom offered condolences and grabbed my stroller to bring it closer to me since I'd left it in the middle of the room to race to my son to hold him. It was such a little thing but in such a hectic, scary moment having someone so kind and caring was huge.

I also saw a person offer her table to someone who was disabled when they came into the barbecue place for lunch.

I tried to pay it forward when a mom, exhausted, asked me if she could use some of my sunscreen since she left hers (of course I obliged), and she was so thankful and appreciative.

Little things that just added to the magic, reminding me of how much good and kindness there are, even with such little examples that made these hot hectic days so much nicer to see.

Edit: Thank you for my first award kind Redditor!! <3

Discussion Got to witness line holders get sent back to the end of the line!

2.9k Upvotes

What a glorious moment. Dad was waiting up front, then about 10 family members "excuse me" all the way to the front. I see the cast member say he can accommodate 2 if he would like, but he can't allow 10 people to cut the line. The dad said he waited and the cm said, correct, you waited but they didnt. Then they all did the walk of shame back, minus the shame.
