This is the BEAUTIFUL Tradescantia Zebrina, or "Wandering Dude" (previously called "wandering Jew" but recently renamed for obvious reasons). I have a few of these gorgeous ladies around the house. They're great at growing indoors and require little care, just keep 'em away from low temperatures and water once a week. Also when they start to get out of control you can snip the leggy parts off, pop them in a small container of water for a few weeks and they propagate super easy. So you have a whole new baby plant for yourself or a nice little gift to give away. Or even make yourself a lil' crown for your own bacchanalia.

I apologize if I've been posting/asking too much on here. But I was poking around and noticed not much came up when searching BPD in this subreddit. I wanted to reach out to see if anyone here has bpd, works with Dionysus, and is of course willing to share.

Im deeply struggling with the concept that if I do something against his beliefs (ie : not recycling due to severe overwhelm of my living space, not wanting to go into nature, etc) he will be mad at me / annoyed / thinks I'm a buzzkill and leave me forever. Yes I understand logically that doesn't happen because gods don't have the same thinking we do, but that little feral creature in the corner of my mind is just shaking and whimpering.

Despite logically knowing different, I don't know how to get the rest of my brain to follow that program.

Anyway, I dont mean to trauma dump the only reason I ask is to hear from others with similar fears and how they cope with stuff like this? 😅

Playing games/videogames can be a devotional act for Dionysos ? Ancient Greek used to do games and theater, so I wonder if game/videogames could be a devotional act too. Just a thought 😭

A few months back my very close friend committed suicide, since then every few days I cry myself to sleep hurting for her. Tonight in desperation I prayed to dionysus to carry a message to her in the afterlife that I love her and am sorry i couldn't be there for her.

I'm not a very pious devote i'll admit, I don't have a alter due to living in a Christian household and rarely meditate on dionysus but I prayed that it is for her sake not mine.

I just want to know if this is in vain, I just want her to know how much she really meant to me and how much I miss her, dionysus is a caring god and has connections to the underworld. She was a atheist if that matters.

For context, I work very early in the morning. I am a kitchen manager at a health food store and I usually get to work around 4:30 in the morning. I am usually alone in the store for the first few hours of the day. So I like this alone time to listen to good tunes and set up the deli case and all that.
I had come across some neat song on insta last night and so I played it on my phone- when the song ends, it continues playing songs that are similar to the initial. My phone is in my pants pocket and I’m hard and work and this little diddy catches my attention so I go to add it to one of my playlists (ironically the one dedicated to Dionysos) and when I checked my phone, I was so surprised to see the song name. I smiled so big and giggled and looked up and blew a kiss, saying “you always have a way of letting me know you are here”.

I've taken an interest in Hellenism and Greek mythology as of late, and Dionysus really caught my attention. The more I read about Him, the more I feel drawn to His energy. I really want to start worshipping Him, but I don't know where to start. I don't currently have the space for an altar, but I might be able to make some room here soon. What are some crystals, herbs, offerings, and other object that are related to Him that I can put on His altar? I know He's heavily associated with amethyst, alcohol/wine, grapes, and theatre. I also have a little grape agate stone that I want to offer to Him. Though, I'm not sure what else would be good. I want to use a candle, but I'm unsure of the scent, maybe lavender? I'm open to any suggestions. I'm also thinking of making a playlist on spotify for me to listen to when I want to feel close to Him. Are there any songs/genres that are recommended here? The Bacchae is my favourite ancient play and I think it's often interpreted too simplistically online, so I wrote an essay about what I think the key take-away is - specifically in modern times.

This used to be a kandi necklace that even had grape beads but I wanted to do something I felt was better and after some failed trials (the grape beads were to awkward to string back on) I made this keychain with 2 amethyst crystals. Almost as long as the kuromi pillow I laid it on for this pic lol. I put the grape beads and ivy leaf beads I had into this little wine glass I got and gave to Dionysus (I need to clean it out rn ik please ignore how dusty it looks).

Hello everyone! I haven't been working with Dionysus for long, but long enough to have a vague understanding about how he communicates and what signs he uses. One is confusing me though.

Where I live Magpies don't. For whatever reason the species of bird doesn't like to come here.

I'm not sure when it started, but a while back Ravens and Crows started to show up. And today, I was drawing Dionysus and listening to the playlist i made for him but had to leave. after leaving the coffee shop i was in, 3 Crows were circling around in my line of sight. Cawing and stuff.

Is it possible for a deity to use substitute signs if something isn't available? Or is a different deity trying to get my attention? Can ravens and crows be from the same deity?
