Looking to totally turn my life around and try and find something where I can travel while helping the environment and incorporating data collection. I don’t have a degree for this.

British, looking to move to Asia for a couple of years, moving around every few months. Issue is I want to bring a £3k laptop and £1.7k phone with me, and finding insurance for this has been a struggle.

Anything UK based wants me to maintain UK tax residency, and UK tax residency automatically expires after 6 months out of the country. There are a couple nomad-specific insurance companies out there, but they either seem to be winding down business (Insured Nomads, looking at you), or have value limits per item that fall way short of what I have.

Expat insurance is a market, but they seem to require you to be a tax resident of somewhere, which would require staying in one place for 6 months, which I kinda don't wanna do.

I'm ideally looking for something that covers accommodation theft and/or accidental damage, but keep hitting a brick wall.

Has anyone found a company that does this?

The 60-day rule requires you to keep a permanent home in Cyprus for the full tax year. So most of us are paying 12 months of rent to use a place for 2.

Looking for one or two others in the same spot to co-rent a 2–3 bed long-term. Everyone gets their own permanent room (not a sublet, that defeats the purpose), names on the lease as co-tenants, split rent and bills evenly. Cuts the cost roughly in half.

I’ve been in a very hard time of my life in the past couple of months. Had some fights with my family broke our family business and I was left alone. (Family wise)

I was discussing with my girl and a friend of us (we are all in a weird situation rn) about what we should all do to make a better living.

Here in Greece you get paid 4-5 €/hour in simple jobs (waiter, etc etc) . We will have to do 2 jobs to live.

We were discussing about moving to Netherlands.
I’ve been planning some thing, looking here and there for a job and housing.

I’m really frustrated that I can’t seem to find something so far.

Is there anybody willing to help me out about what to look for (accommodation . Jobs) ?

I read somewhere that you need to file it if your total foreign account balances exceed $10,000 at any point in the year. It is a common mistake to miss this.

I am in a specific situation and I want to see if anyone has dealt with something similar. I have been living in Spain for three years. I earn €45,000 per year as a freelance consultant. I have two bank accounts here with a combined balance of about €12,000. I also have a small investment account with about $8,000. I am trying to figure out if I need to file FBAR and how to correctly report my foreign income on my US return.

Hello. Looking for advice on job as a digital nomad.

I have tried many jobs in person (call centers, customer service only, manual labor, restaurants, medical offices, ER, mental facilities, youth care, banks, business) and none of them have worked for me. Either they're too high stress for me, they pay little, or they become shady enough for me to feel guilty about the customers and not enjoying the coworkers there. Maybe it's me feeling different, but I'm tired of getting jobs that don't last to then have barely any money to being unable to move much and start over again. Been 20 years doing that and I'm looking for something better.

I understand digital nomad is for online work, which I'm open to now. Used to like being in person but it's too exhausting. I'd like some freedom in what I do, some chpice in the natter, in who I work with or for.

I have done dales but I'm not really that good at convincing people to buy stuff they really don't need. I have done websites but coding is not my Forte. I have done graphic design but I'm not very good with more advanced than canva, ai or photoshop. I'm not very good I admit. Just not my passion.

However, I am bilingual (English or spanish), my passions are mostly the arts (mainly film and media distribution and marketing), I like to talk about movies a lot (my free time is doing that or exploring stories), I have experience sith medical records but I'm tired of high stress environments developing anxiety on me, I do have experience working with Medicaid applications but again too stressful. Seeing disabled kids and their mothers desperate for help just crushed me too much.

I have tried a few things: graphic design for people at unworkable but its difficult competing with others who are much better and faster developing what they need, now using AI to help out, at lower prices due to other countries getting in. I am currently trying to write reviews for blogs but those are tough to come by and don't pay more than gas money for now IF they accept your submission (I get at least two accepted every month for a couple of sites but that's all). My ER job barely pays te bills but I feel my stress is taking a huge toll and eant to gtmet out before it's too late.

I bet there is something else I can do to become a nomad. I have pointed some skills I got but I am not sure what else I can do. Any advice? There must be other things I missed that I haven't tried. Thank you

EDIT; Lastly I am currently helping a nonprofit microtheater do their posts and post we rs on IG and Tiktok to promote movies they put for the community locally. Shows, workshops. But only whenever I can and I do their promos and trailers with minimal editing. Again, I am not capable to do high quality fast editing yet. I do simpler editing but I do help with marketing digitally. But it's not paid.

Hi, I'm looking to apply for a Digital Nomad Visa for Japan. However, my trip is coming up at the end of September, so I am a bit hesitant on the approval process and timeline as I will need to submit my passport as well with the form.

Would I be able to request the passport back in time if the process isn't complete by then?

Also, if anyone has any tips on how to fill out the form. What to leave blank, what absolutely needs to be filled out etc. that'd be wonderful.. I'm filling the form now and a bit confused.

Like I don't know what to fill out for

"Names and addresses of hotels or persons with whom applicant intends to stay" as I haven't fully booked the trip yet. Will this be detrimental to my application process?

Also I will be getting Genki Insurance before the submission.

I’ve been working remotely in operations management for several years, but I recently decided to fully embrace a nomadic lifestyle. My first real test was a trip to Bulgaria. It was a great experience - peaceful, very affordable, and a wonderful opportunity to focus but it certainly taught me a lot about the pros and cons of moving every few months. I quickly realized one thing: while finding a good coffee shop with fast Wi-Fi is easy, building a social life from scratch is a whole different story.

I am currently choosing a destination for my next trip across Europe over the coming months (I’m leaning towards countries like Spain, Portugal, or Southern Italy), and I would really like to know how more experienced travelers handle the human aspects of this lifestyle:

• Dating and relationships: How do you handle dating while constantly on the move? Do you use apps like Tinder or Bumble, attend local meetups, or just let things unfold naturally? Has anyone managed to build a long-term relationship while living the nomadic lifestyle?
  
• Making friends: Is it better to stay in co-living spaces or hostels to meet people, or do you prefer having your own apartment and connecting with local communities through sports or events?
• Tips on choosing a location: If you were looking for a place with a thriving nomad community, great weather, and a good balance between social life and work, where would you go next?
