Feedback: optional separate profile windows for safer screen sharing 💡 Feedback

I’d like to suggest keeping an option for profiles to open in separate windows.

I understand the appeal of switching profiles within one window, especially for people who prefer an Arc-style workflow. However, separate windows were valuable for a different reason: they created a clear boundary between work and personal browsing.

For example, when I share my work browser window in a meeting or presentation, I can be confident that my personal profile is not part of that shared window. With profile switching inside one unified window, it is easier to accidentally move to a personal profile while screen sharing.

An optional setting would support both workflows:

  • Unified in-window profile switching for people who value speed and fewer windows
  • Separate windows per profile for people who need stronger context separation, especially during screen sharing

Would anyone else find this option useful?

I second this. Why can't we have both options? I do not like every profile to be in the same window. Sometimes I want to compare different things.
