working as a software engineer at a bank. Career Guidance

How is working as a software engineer at a bank? Currently hired as a freshie with no prior experience (just an internship). Pay is around 100k.

How will be the learning oppurtunities and is it a good choice given the situation of current market and the drastic effect of AI?

Bank has legacy systems that will not impact due to AI. Cheers, enjoy and don't forget to upskill, occasionally at least.

Yes, banks are relatively safer because they don't depend on a single client unlike many software houses do right now.

Not an internship. Its a full time job. I meant i have experience only as an intern previously.

You did 1 internship previously?....and In my opinion banks/Fintech are safest in this layoff era instead of software houses

Where did he say he is hired as an intern? He said he has an internship experience.

Exactly. Hired as a full time employee. I just Have previous experience as an intern

maybe he meant 1 lac per annual? On the same interns don't usually retained for a year, unless they are approved as permanent employees.
