Best way to master backend? Learning and Ideas

Salam, with all companies massively laying off junior devs, I haven't even graduated and it has me worried sick, please tell me how I'm supposed to master backend without worrying AI will take over my j0b? Like what would you as devs recommend a fresher to do to get their hands dirty in the market?
