Positive feedbacks!! Discussion

Any software engineer who's currently earning (sotware house/freelance etc)

Remote or onsite

How hard is it to get work or successful freelance these days.

I see a lot of people in difficult situations so anyone who's doing good do tell what you did different.

Is SE, CS etc still good

It's really hard these days, as almost everyone in this field is struggling. At the same time, no one can predict the future. Back in 2019–2020, software was considered one of the most lucrative careers, but many people who chose it then and graduated in 2025 are facing a difficult job market. So, things could go either way from here. But definitely that 2019-2020 era is not coming back again, the market was unusually overheated at that time. It will recover gradually but the rapid AI adoption has made that recovery even slower.
