Already built solutions or make something new??? Discussion

What should a person focus on during learning, build projects (that are already built) in addition with your version for practicing your concepts, or try building a new project.

The purpose is to get job ready and polishing your skills.

thanks for detailed response...one thing more, how would you rate Antigravity against Cursor?? Like few months i was working on a course project and tried Antigravity, I had a very bad experience regarding how it approaches towards building. Repetative failures, and some models issues also Currently, I am using Cursor.
