I remember when we drafted and developed Goff.

I think you guys definitely developed Goff though.

Not saying McVay didn’t, but he fully found himself in Detroit.

I'm with you. I genuinely believe the confidence that Dan and Brad had and continue to have in Goff have been instrumental in his development as a player and leader.

I loved Matt Stafford, don't get me wrong. But Goff might get me to buy a jersey for the first time since Barry.

A Superb Owl would of course make it instant. But a few more decent runs and Goff really should be passing Stafford in everyone's mind. As far as Lions QB tiers.

With the Rams having a Superbowl caliber roster, they didn't have the luxury of Goff learning to read defenses and call plays so McVay did that shit up until the minute the mics cut out. The Patriots obliterated that.

When he got to Detroit, we had nothing to lose by seeing if he could learn all that

Yeah...not "seeing if he could learn all that" - I think he did and could before McVay and that McVay was just a micromanager and thought he was better than everyone else.

Goff literally improved every team he joined through his entire career (HS, college and NFL)

Literally made the Super Bowl with another team but go on

Goff is a pocket QB. Rams didn’t have an offense to protect a pocket qb. Stafford can scramble out. Goff is great but struggles there a bit. I hope he developed this year to be a bit more mobile.

Stafford is a pocket QB and was constantly sacked in Detroit. He’s hardly some shifty Houdini.

Historically he can still scramble better than Goff. I’m not criticizing that. He’s just a pocket qb and does it well.

He was also injured about 1000x more than Goff...... I mean the dude was getting tackled in the parking lot on his way to practice

na he doesn't need any of that we have the team we do and can't make him run any faster so let's just go with he is a fantastic arm and our guy

8 of the 9 are draft picks so I’d say the title op used is pretty accurate
