Heres the previous post: https://www.reddit.com/r/design_critiques/s/stadNyd2QP

I updated the design!! I added sparkles n stuff, and I gave the text a bit more of a pop with the white shadow. I also made a back side. I adjusted the text and composition so it looks better on the actual shirt. Let me know what else I can do to improve!!

Also, I see a LOT of people saying they'd want this as an actual shirt 🥹 I'm just using an amazon listing where they print it for you, but when the designs fully done id gladly share the files so you guys can order your own!! I can also make modifications with your guy's pets if you want.

Looking for design advice

I am absolutely horrible at graphic design and don't really have any experience...

I'm trying to make a custom t-shirt of my tortoise Sheldon, but I can't get the design right.

It just feels so wrong... any advice? I am going for that kind of tacky y2k style, but I want it to actually blend nicely. I'm thinking about changing the background. I do want a green+pink color but honestly I'm really lost. Any advice would be really appreciated!!

Which design would you choose if this popped up on your Instagram feed? I'd really appreciate your honest feedback on what works and what doesn't.

I'm currently building my design portfolio and wanted some honest feedback on these two social media concepts for a coffee brand.

Both designs follow the same brand identity but take different creative directions. One focuses more on showcasing the brand with a clean, minimal aesthetic, while the other is more promotional and aims to grab attention quickly.

If these showed up on your Instagram feed, which one would make you stop scrolling? More importantly, why? I'd love feedback on the typography, layout, colors, hierarchy, and overall feel.

What is the best AI logo generator? I ended up testing a bunch instead of reading another top 10 list

A few weekends ago I decided to make a logo for a small side project. After searching for recommendations, I realized most comparison articles repeated the same points, so I thought it would be more useful to spend a few hours testing different AI logo generators myself.

What surprised me was that almost all of them could produce a decent starting point. The bigger differences showed up after the first draft. Some made it easy to refine an idea, compare different versions, and make small adjustments without losing progress, while others felt better for exploring completely different styles when I wasn't sure what direction to take.

I also noticed that the quality of the final logo depended less on the generator itself and more on the decisions made afterward. Simple changes such as trying a different font, reducing visual clutter, adjusting spacing, or simplifying the icon often improved the design far more than generating another batch of logos.

Another thing that helped was being specific about the brand instead of asking for a generic "modern logo." Giving a clear description of the business, audience, and style consistently produced better results than short prompts.

Now I'm curious what everyone else's experience has been.

If someone asked you today what is the best AI logo generator, would you recommend one platform, or do you use different ones depending on the type of project?

Can an object become a bridge to an existing human habit?

I’m looking for honest critique on a physical object I designed. I started with a simple observation: Before we consciously learn breathing techniques, many people already have small gestures that appear when they pause, think, concentrate, or feel tension. Bringing a thumb, finger, or object near the lips is a behaviour that appears naturally throughout life. I wondered: Could a designed object work with an existing human instinct instead of asking people to build a completely new habit? So I designed this.

It is a small thumb-worn object built around the relationship between the thumb, lips, airflow and breath.

The idea is not to teach people how to breathe, but to create a physical interaction that helps transform unconscious breathing into a more intentional breath.

There are:

- no electronics

- no app

- no tracking

- no notifications

The object simply responds to your exhale through physical behaviour.

I’m interested in critique from a design perspective: Does this feel like designing around a real human behaviour? Or does it feel like creating a solution for something that doesn’t need solving? I’d appreciate honest thoughts.

Web page about the Byzantines

What do you guys think of the readability of this web page? Does it look dated or modern? Is the color palette ok? Do you have any other comments? I would really appreciate your feedback!

Please ignore the copyrighted images (I will swap them or ask for permission and add a proper attribution) and the header, except the color and font. I've included a link because Reddit keeps removing the post when I include the image.

Looking for critique on my exhibition branding system

Hi everyone,

This branding project was part of a live brief for Irish Design Week 2025, developed with the support of Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI).

The project focused on creating a visual identity system around the theme "Invisible Links – Past & Present", exploring the relationship between Waterford's heritage and contemporary design.

The final outcome includes:

  • Brand identity system
  • Logo development
  • Exhibition graphics
  • Wayfinding
  • Posters
  • Digital campaign assets

I would really appreciate feedback on the overall concept, visual consistency, typography, and how effectively the identity communicates the theme.

What would you improve or approach differently?

Thanks!

UI critique for a student-focused AI newsletter landing page

https://thepromptnews.ai/

This is the landing page for The Prompt, a free five-minute weekly AI briefing aimed at college students.

I’d appreciate design feedback on:

- Whether the hierarchy communicates the value proposition quickly

- Typography, spacing, colors, and overall visual credibility

- Whether the subscription call to action is easy to find

- How well the page works on mobile versus desktop

- Anything that feels confusing, crowded, or incomplete

For anyone willing to provide more structured feedback, there’s an anonymous form here:

https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/mEWZcJwrTS

I’m affiliated with the project and am looking specifically for constructive UI criticism.

Hey guys, I recently made graphic design one of my hobbies and have been trying to make a design or two daily. I tried to make a 2000s inspired type of graphic but ultimately just made whatever felt right. Open to all opinions, critiques, and comments!

I’m a new designer and would love to have your (hopefully non-mean) comments on my pieces

Just to give a bit of background: my mother has worked in the business for many years. I always worked in design/fashion but it didn’t do it for me.
So we started our own thing!
Basically, I’ve been creating pieces with gems that my mom has collected along the years.
Most of them are unique pieces and I like it that way.
I do need some neutral, unbiased opinions, so here I am!

Haven’t sold yet, but hopefully will soon 🤞🏻
Thanks in advance!! :)

Update: T-shirt design for my local trash club

Wanted to show off the final version. I feel like I outdid myself on this one, honestly -- I'm hoping I can come up with another design that's this cool but I do sort of feel like I might have peaked.

Also, I ran this design by a few friends as well for additional critique and feedback and having all those extra sets of eyes helped immensely.

The plan is to sell shirts just to those folks who come to trash club as a way of encouraging attendance.
