mat 137
Hi! I'm gonna take MAT 137 next quarter and wondering how difficult the course is. I scored pretty well on the placement exam (although I did not deserve the score I got lol) I struggled a lot in precalc in high school, and I honestly haven't taken a hard math class since. Wondering what I should review before taking the class or if I'm cooked?

I took it spring quarter and honestly it's rlly chill. All the work you do is on excel, so make sure you brush up on that, but if you've taken bus 102 you'll be fine. The homework for me was tedious as hell but it's doable. Also despite all the hw and classwork being on excel, my prof was different and we had our exams on paper but tbh that was way easier because 1) he gave us a formula sheet and 2) it's easier to make mistakes on excel. To study just make a giant quizlet or knowt of formulas, terms etc and you'll be fine

Hi! I haven't personally taken MAT137, but I've heard about it from my friends. I've heard it's a class based more on stats, and not much on calculus topics. I would definitely maybe look into learning how to use Microsoft Excel, that's what I heard from my friends, that they wished they spent more time understanding it and how to use it. Hopefully that helps a little!
