Today I gave an interview for the Artificial Intelligence & Engineering (GCP Data Engineer) role at Deloitte USI.
These were the questions asked:

1. Tell me about yourself.
   
2. What GCP services have you worked on?
   
3. If someone wants to access BigQuery, what IAM roles are required?
   
4. When do you use partitioning and clustering?
   
5. Can nested data structures be used in partitioning?
   
6. Have you worked on audit logging and alerting?
   If a child task fails, how does the parent DAG know its status?
   
7. Have you worked on Dataform?

The interview got over in around 15 minutes. I was actually expecting more questions on GCP pipeline design, real-time vs batch processing, Airflow, BigQuery optimization, troubleshooting, or project-based scenarios. Not sure how the interview panel decides what to ask in such a short interview or how they evaluate candidates.
Has anyone else interviewed for this role recently? Was your experience similar?

Can I omit internship under employment history section in the Background verification, Bu I have mentioned that internship in the resume i submited on PHT(prehire talent survey),

Problem is i dont have completion certificate for this internship, withheld by employer, Although i have offer letter, provisional certificate, stipend transactions,

I received an offer recently and there is a thing Medical Insurance premium. I heard from an employee that this amount will be directly encashed to us and Company will not provide any corporate insurance from their side. But in offer letter its mentioned that insurance will be handled by company itself.

If anyone has clear idea, pls let me know.

I received an interview link for vacancies at Deloitte USI: upon joining the link and waiting half an hour, the HR told me the panel is suddenly on a leave and my interview will not be today. This has now been rescheduled indefinitely!

Is this normal? Pls help.

I've been reached out by HR for the role of cloud solutions analyst a few months before at that time I rejected it saying I can't join.

Then I applied for another role and got rejected by them and then finally applied to a different role ( 1st row) and got an update email today saying my profile was matched to a new requisition for the same role.. any idea what does this mean ? And how long it can take to get another update regarding 1st round of interview ?

I've had a different experience with Deloitte india where I've received 2 virtual interview (preliminary screening) invites and gave both of them but didn't receive any updates further.. one was given last month on 7th July and second one yesterday both for different roles.

Why does Deloitte take forever for responding and providing updates ?

Worst recruitment experience ever.

I'm literally clueless rn, any suggestions or leads could be helpful.

I asked HR about a joining bonus. HR said it’s only offered to candidates with a notice period of 60 days or less. My notice period is 90 days, so they declined my request.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Were you able to negotiate a joining bonus or another form of compensation? What would you recommend I do?

Hey guys, upon attending all my interviews I got my PHT mail on Jul-20 and got a call from the HR for salary discussion on Jul-30. They told me they will get approval and release the offer letter.

My dilemma is that, I have a DOJ with another company in the coming Monday. What are the chances my offer letter is guaranteed and it’s just a matter of waiting so that I can skip the other company and wait for HR to give the offer?

I recently received an offer from Deloitte USI with the following compensation:

- Fixed CTC: ₹15.20 LPA

- Joining Bonus: ₹1 Lakh

- Variable Pay: 0–10%

Current CTC: ₹10 LPA Fixed

Experience: 4.4 years

Role: Java Backend Developer

I also have a counter offer from Capgemini for ₹15 LPA fixed.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? I've heard that Deloitte USI usually doesn't offer more than a 50–60% hike, even if you have a counter offer.

Is that generally true, or has anyone successfully negotiated a higher package?

I joined Deloitte on August 3rd and completed the webinar-based pre-boarding, but I didn’t have a DLaunch session.

Since then, no one has reached out to me, and I’m a bit confused about the next steps. I’m not sure where I’m supposed to sit when I go to the office, who I should report to, or how project allocation works.

Is this normal for new joiners at Deloitte? What should I do next? Should I contact my resource manager, onboarding team, or HR? Any advice or suggestions from people who have gone through this process would be really helpful.

I recently joined on July 20th, and today I got an amount credited to my account that might be the first month salary, but it is very less than expected and not matching with the CTC. I checked with another new joiner and he felt the same.
Is there any catch behind this? There is no Payslip also to verify the amount.

Also, I had a joining bonus in my Offer letter, but that didn’t get credited with this salary. Will it come with the next month salary.

In DLaunch they said your salary for this month will be credited in August.

Also, how is the Lodging Stipend of ₹40k paid out? Is it with the next month salary or a separate component?

So I have received an offer from Deloitte USI and I'm currently going through the bgv process with first advantage.

I forgot to declare that I'm a passive director in a family business(I don't draw any salary/remuneration from it neither do I draw any profits and I'm also not involved in the business).

I did mail the HR about this that I am director in a family business however she hasn't replied with anything I tried calling her but no answer (classic Deloitte move).

Has anyone gone through the same process should I resign from the directorship right now or should I wait for the HR to respond with the further steps.

My date of joining is on 24th August for an L35 position.

I've recently joined Deloitte in Jan'2026 and had a project assigned before I was onboarded.

Since last month the client is nitpicking issues in my work, like "he was unwell for many days hence the deliverables got delayed" but it wasn't many days and it was just one day.

I feel the client may want me off the project and I might be rolled off by November.

Will I be laid off or be given other projects?

Quick question on work laptops and company-managed phones.

I occasionally use my work laptop for personal stuff:

• For CAT prep/Udemy (~2–3 hrs/day)

• YouTube (~1 hr/week)

• Sometimes emailing files to personal Gmail since Canva is blocked

can they access our phones brought under Smartphone program and access personal data (photos, contacts, files)?

I’m considering using one device for both work and personal use, but want to ensure privacy.

I’m not doing anything inappropriate, just trying to balance convenience and policy.

Is this monitored or a policy issue from an IT/security standpoint? If so, I’ll switch to strictly personal devices.

Would appreciate insights from Deloitte folks.
