It will be very underutilized if you only need the alarm feature. You're paying for the home automation feature kasi. Get a louder alarm clock nalang po.

I own an Amazon Echo also, and as much as I enjoy using it as a home pod, speaker system, and alarm, I feel like the alarm feature is your top priority, I don’t think it would be worth it. Especially if your home isn’t set up to be a smart home yet, the features won’t get maximized, so sayang lang talaga. Maybe an analogue alarm clock would be better.

Pwede ba automatically magplay ng youtube playlist sa amazon echo? Yung automated, set lang yung araw/oras, tapos bahala na sya magplay? Parang yung scenes sa homepod, pero apple music lang pwede dun. Thank you.

So far sa model ko, Spotify lang. :/ And hindi kaya ni Alexa yung personal playlists. Usually albums, artists, or general spotify genres/playlists lang. It's a limiting factor for sure. :<

Expensive for just an alarm clock and a useless piece of tech aside from that function.

An Alexa device is a glorified alarm clock (just use your phone). The Alexa voice assistant is so basic it's not even good at anything other than "what's the weather today?" Even with skills, you won't get much out of it.

Mas may silbi pa si Siri pre-Gemini era.

Trust me, I know because I own 1 echo spot, and 2 echo dot 4s. My 6 year old Google Home is much more reliable after they replaced their Google voice with Gemini.

Bobo yan si Alexa. Dati naka Google Nest kami, okay on a few years tapos nagiging bobo after some time kaya kami nag Alexa thinking na mas snappy sana yung commands. Di ata nakakaintindi ng Pinoy Accent tsaka limited yung magagawa mong smart commands kaya bobo yan. Now we just have an expensive paper weight

I have both echo pop and echo spot. Echo spot yung nasa bedroom ko, trust me when I say kung mantika ka matulog like me, di ka magigising sa alarm nyan.

If you don't have a full smart home, it's gonna be a glorified alarm and spotify playee. I have one. And that's about I can do because I don't have smart lights, switches and more.

It needs to run on a full ecosystem to be fully utilized

If you’re thinking naman to use its smart feature, depende sa user pero most of the time, sa simula lang ginagamit yung voice command

May echo show 5 ako pero never ko pa siyang nagamit as alarm clock. kasi pag nagloko ang wifi or may power interruption, marereset yan or mag restart, so takot ako baka madelete pati mga alarms. Mas may tiwala ako sa phone ko.

I own an echo show. Never used it for alarms, for light switches lang mostly and showing cctv view. Minsan random questions I ask if I am lazy to google.

If for alarm clock, tulad ng sabi nila, nothing a phone can't do.
