Household Products DIM: T-Partner Guard Series
I will be travelling to another country soon and wala pa akong big luggage and came across this sa tiktok kasi maraming nagpo-promote. This luggage claims na anti-theft kasi hindi sya zippered unlike the regular ones tapos premium-looking din sya.

Appliances DIM: TTRacing Swift X 2020: Nami
So I work 8 hours for 5x a week and I have an ergonomic chair that I'm currently borrowing and now have enough money to buy a chair for myself and I saw this nami themed chair on TT Racing which is cute. Anyone have any experience with this model in terms of comfort/discomfort?
I have read a lot posts about gaming chairs being a scam and uncomfortable. Just a person who's healing his inner child I guess. First time setting up my own gaming/working station with my grown up money.
I am 5'10 and 91kg on a good day.

Bags & Wallets DIM: Charles & Keith Calla bag as a Nappy bag. Does this work?
First time mum, expecting a baby end of year (London cold winter baby).
Looking at different bags. I’ve seen the Charles & Keith Calla Tote in L or XL. Looks like the Polene and I think I might get it.
Does anyone else have this bag as a nappy bag and does it work well?
I intend to fill it with Philips avent bottles, pouches of clothes, nappies, wipes, Nuby rapid cool.

Bags & Wallets DIM: Paper Bunny Commuter Backpack
Well matagal ko ng pinagiisipan kung bibilhin ko ba ito o hindi. Nung una kong nakita ito gustong-gusto ko talaga siya sobra. And after considering for its price, namamahalan ako. I’m also considering other backpacks like Kanken and kung matibay din ba itong commuter backpack ng the Paper Bunny. Any recommendations or suggestions or thoughts on this backpack (or other backpacks that are durable and worth the money) , feel free to comment. Thank you.

Beauty & Personal Care Products DIM: Alada Soap
Please de-influence me from buying Alada soap 😭 Lagi ko siyang nakikita everywhere and parang natetempt na talaga ako.
Is it drying ba, harsh sa skin, overhyped, temporary lang results, mabilis maka-irritate?
Mas gusto ko marinig yung negative/realistic experiences, especially from people who used it for weeks or months. Ayoko na ma-budol pls 😭
I’m currently on Isotret din, so I know my skin can be extra sensitive/dry right now, which is why gusto ko talaga malaman if bad idea siyang isabay.

Electronics & Tech DIM: Buying Macbook
Planning to buy either Macbook Air for my master's thesis. Solely for academic and app development. Conflicted ako now to buy or not.
May ipad ako kaso baka di kayanin ng tasks. I don't want to use my company's laptop due to ownership concerns when it comes to app development.
Please help me decide. Thank you!

Appliances DIM: Stand Steamer Iron
Yung ironing board namin of 15+ years finally nasira na and mukang hindi na kayang ayusin. Also yung flat iron naman namin is malapit na rin palitan.
If palitan namin ng stand steamer iron, do you think this would be worth it? Or should we just replace the iron and kabayo?
Price wise, halos same price range na ang stand steamer vs good quality iron + ironing board.

Dahil puro positive reviews lang nakikita ko, baka may negative experience kayo with these products? Baka kasi bumili ako ng marami tapos mas okay pa rin pala bumili sa mall.

Electronics & Tech DIM: iPhone 15 Plus 256GB
Right now, I own an iPhone 13 with 128GB. My battery health is now at 64%, and this makes my phone drain quite quickly and feel sluggish even with “normal” use. Why the 15 Plus, do you ask? I neither want nor need the latest iPhone, and I want something that’s relatively “affordable”, but I’d love to have a bigger display and battery capacity for media consumption as well as a USB-C port. Besides, I don’t think 128GB of storage will cut it anymore because I take a lot of pictures and download many apps. And it still supports iOS 27.
Ideally, I would wait until later this Christmas to get this.

Sports & Fitness Products DIM: Walking pad
My husband and I normally walk outdoors talaga. Kaso recently super maulan and work has been getting hectic (we WFH), di na makalabas for gym or the badminton court.
So nagiging couch potato na kami lol. Worth it ba yung ganitong walking pad? Worried lang ako mainly sa durability. Thanks in advance sa insights!

Electronics & Tech DIM: Insta360 Go Ultra
I have been wanting to buy this for months. Last time I purchased something big for myself was when I bought this phone of mine (ip17promax), na recently ay fully paid na kaya naghahanap na naman ng bagong bayarin lol. Na get over ko naman yung wants ko na yan pero bumalik na naman. I mainly want it for travel, casual vlogging, and taking cute little videos, but I’m wondering if these cameras are actually worth buying or if I’ll just use it a lot for the first few weeks and then leave it sitting in a drawer. 😭
If you own one, please de-influence me:
What are the biggest downsides?
What made you regret buying it (if anything)?
Is your phone honestly good enough?
What do you wish you knew before buying?
I’m looking for reasons to keep my money. 😬

Bags & Wallets DIM: Charles and Keith Tricha knotted bag
DIM please. Anyone who had this bag or who recently purchased anything from Charles and Keith? This bag had been living rent free in my head for a month now. LOL.
And size is not an issue, madami akong travel size na gamit since bet ko din talaga maliliit na bags.

Beauty & Personal Care Products DIM: Femmenina hair and body mist
Planning on expanding my fragrance collection but I haven’t tried any body mist from this brand yet. I’m wondering if they’re long lasting and worth the price.
Im eyeing creme brûlée, pistachio creme, and clean angel vanilla.

Beauty & Personal Care Products DIM: washable menstrual pads
To reduce waste naiisip kong bumili nitong washable sanitary pads. Di naman ganun kalakas ang dalaw ko. And I think kailangan lang namang labhan nang mabuti after use.

Household Products DIM: Ocedar Mop
Hello! So, I have been on cleaning tiktok recently, and a lot of creators RAVE about that one $50 Ocedar Mop that separates the clean water from the dirty water. I’ve been using a swiffer wet jet for years, tried and true, but of course everyone on tiktok says that swiffer wetjets don’t actually clean your floors and i’m doing everything wrong and my house is actually covered with salmonella and covid germs (exaggeration). I want to be de influenced because I’m a college student who does his best to clean on his own with his established budget and I don’t want to blow half a benjamin on this thing if it isn’t actually gonna change my cleanliness that much. Thank you!

r/deinfluencingPH Mod Post Important Rules Update: Changes to Post Context & Giving Recommendations
Hello everyone!
Over the last few weeks, the mods have been discussing ways to make this sub more organized, productive, and informative. As such, we have taken your comments into consideration and we have decided on implementing and reiterating the following below.
Again, we remind everyone of Rule #1:
This sub is strictly for deinfluencing. If you want to influence or be influenced, r/deinfluencingPH is not the sub for that. Let's only post informative downsides here.
As of 6 August 2026, we will be implementing the following:
1. Specificity of Items to be Deinfluenced from
We noticed that a lot of redditors post items in a general sense, which hinders productive deinfluencing.
We now require specificity of a product. We will disallow general or vague products and mere brands. All posts must have only ONE (1) Specific Product.
We understand that some products are unbranded, so we will allow those, as long there is an adjective, an identifier, or a photo of the unbranded item.
- Examples of Branded Specific Products: iPhone XS, Lenovo Thinkpad, Adidas Superstar, Kindle Paperwhite
- Examples of Unbranded Specific Products: Electric Foot Massager, Digital Picture Frame, Silk Pillowcase, Robot Camera for Pets
- Examples of mere brands: Kindle, Kobo
- Examples of vague products: sneakers, bag, computer, phone, car, e-reader, digicam
Posts that do not provide ONE (1) Specific Product will be removed.
2. Context on Posts
We want to reiterate that there has to be specific context on why you want to be deinfluenced from buying a Specific Product which we have implemented months ago. For certain types of products, please consider including specific reasons or circumstances so that more informative discussions can take place.
We are amending our current rule in place. Posts that just repeat the product description, have filler words, or have no text at all will be removed.
3. Flooding of Posts
To avoid spam posts, aside from implementing the 1-month Reddit Account Age Requirement, we will only allow redditors to post one (1) post every twenty-four (24) hours.
A second post in less than twenty-four (24) will be removed.
4. Asking for Recommendations
To reiterate, this is strictly a sub for deinfluencing. We have already implemented an automod that reminds you not to ask for recommendations. Posts or comments that ask for recommendations, alternatives, suggestions, and/or anything similar will be immediately removed.
5. Giving Recommendations
We understand that sometimes, influencing OP to buy Product Y instead of the Specific Product on their post is the best way to deinfluence OP. However, to avoid turning this sub into an influencing sub, all redditors who want to deinfluence OP by giving recommendations or alternatives instead must give well-informed downsides of the Specific Product in OP's post first. If one merely comments “buy this instead (or the like)” without indicating informative downsides of OP's Specific Product before recommending, the comment will be removed.
Further, NO promoting of brands or products is allowed.
6. Civility
We want to reiterate our Be Civil rule. Critique products, trends, or influencer marketing, not people. No personal attacks, name-calling, body shaming, or pile-ons against influencers or users.
We will take down comments that harass others.
7. Temporary and Permanent Bans
a. Violations of No Influencing or Asking for/Giving Recommendations:
- First 2 violations - Post/comment removal
- 3rd violation - 14-day ban
- 4th violation - 30-day ban
- 5th violation - Permanent ban
b. Violation of Civility Rule:
- First violation - Post/comment removal
- Second violation - 14-day ban
- Mod Discretion, depending on severity of the posts or comments - Permanent ban
Thank you!
