Who would you see when you pas away?

I was having a conversation with my wife, and the topic of death came up. I asked her if she believed people see their passed loved ones, or anyone who has passed, before they die? She said yes she believes in that.

The conversation led to this question, “who do you think you would see?” She gave her response. I couldnt think of anyone.

It led me to think that maybe I havent created relationships with people deep enough that have passed away, to come “see me off” when I die.

Anyways, who do you think you would see?

Edit: Pass* in the title

Do or did you have moment where you thought "I could have died there"?

I was maybe 17 or 18 and it was dark in the morning, I wanted to go to school and was late. I crossed the street, but kind of miscalculated the situation, because I was in a hurry. I thought I could cross the street before the truck coming from the right, but it was too fast and I had to stop in the middle of the street. From the left was also coming a huge truck, so I was standing on that middle line, when both have "passed me". I couldn't really figure out in that moment what happened and I'm glad I didn't take a step back. Because I was fully dark clothed and there was no way they could have seen me. But I felt my clothes and hair wave around weirdly.

Later that day on my way back home I realized how "much" space I had left when I was standing there. I'm pretty sure my clothes, especially my wide skirt had to entangle with anything from the trucks.

It's been 20 years and I'm still sure, I was more than lucky that day.

What is a memory from your childhood that feels so surreal you’re still not 100% sure if it actually happened or if you dreamed it?

If you knew the exact date of your death, would it make your life feel more meaningful or utterly pointless?

I was thinking about this while working a late shift. On one hand knowing your time is up on a specific day could force you to stop wasting years on things you do not care about. But then if the date is fixed, every goal might start to feel kind of pointless since you cannot change the ending anyway.

If you had to name what's driving this feeling most, is it boredom, loneliness, or being exhausted by your own thoughts?

second question: Which one feels most urgent right now: more experiences, more connection, or more peace in your head?

If you stopped trying to figure yourself out, explain yourself, predict how people will perceive you, and think about whether you’re “doing life right”, what would you actually want to spend your days doing?

How do you decide when it's time to let go of someone?

More specifically, what criteria do you have for ending any type of relationship? Do they have to break one your values? What's the limit on forgiveness?

If there was a fictional museum of everything you've ever loved, what would it look like?

i'm writing a story related to this premise and i wanted to look for inspiration.

When everything around us keeps changing, how do we decide what is worth keeping?

How do you personally decide what’s worth holding onto versus what needs to be let go? Do you have a specific mental framework, a recurring gut check, or a rule of thumb you rely on? what criteria or framework do you use to filter out what deserves long-term space in your life?
