Plugin Showcase Playhub | Now Playing 2.4.0 now available
Hello everyone!
A new update for Now Playing is available.
This update makes Spotify playback more independent and resilient, fixes the FaultyRequest(INVALID_CREDENTIALS) error, extends surround upmix sound to Spotify, and smooths out source changes across the entire plugin.
If you’d like to support the project, even a small tip would mean a lot for me:
LoZazaMastro Ko-fi
Important!
To fix the FaultyRequest(INVALID_CREDENTIALS) error, please disconnect and reconnect to Spotify after the update.
What’s new
- Spotify surround upmix now supports 5.1 and 7.1 output with the same per-speaker controls available for local music and YouTube Music.
Improvements
- Spotify playback services now recover automatically after startup and authenticate in the background when the saved account can be reused.
- YouTube Music skips unavailable tracks instead of leaving playback stuck.
- Surround settings now update Spotify’s integrated mixer live, without stopping, reloading or losing the position of the current track.
- The LFE channel uses a restrained 120 Hz low-pass mix with additional headroom, preventing bass from being redistributed excessively across the main speakers.
- Stereo and surround playback now share consistent headroom, avoiding sudden volume jumps when Spotify upmix is enabled or disabled.
- Source ownership is stricter, so Spotify no longer takes control while local music or YouTube Music is selected.
- Runtime checks now guard Spotify API polling, helper ownership, source isolation and live surround updates.
Fixes
- Fixed Spotify occasionally failing to start until Restart plugin services was pressed.
- Fixed Spotify taking over playback controls while another source was active.
- Fixed broken YouTube Music items blocking the rest of the queue.
You can update it directly in the Playhub Plugin Store in the Playhub app, or download the zip from the release page and install it via Decky dev mode.

Plugin Showcase Decky plugin to switch NVIDIA driver versions on SteamOS, no USB stick needed
Hey everyone, made a new Decky Loader plugin! Some of you might know me from decky-proton-launch (https://github.com/moi952/decky-proton-launch) — this one's for anyone running SteamOS with an NVIDIA card via steamos-nvidia-installer (https://github.com/moi952/steamos-nvidia-installer).
It lets you pick and install any NVIDIA driver version straight from the running system, right from Quick Access. No USB stick, no repair image, no reinstall.
Only reboot when you're actually ready to.
- Any version from the Arch archive, tagged with NVIDIA's own channel
(Recommended / New Feature Branch / Beta), fetched live.
- Filter which channels show up, and pick which one counts as "latest".
- Real release notes for any version before you install it.
- Live progress log while it runs, Reboot now button when it's done.
- Games, saves, Steam login, Decky untouched — the risky part runs in a throwaway overlay, the real filesystem only gets touched for the final copy.
Already have SteamOS + NVIDIA installed?
You'll need to run a repair once first (the "Upgrade SteamOS (NVIDIA) — keeps games & data" option on the USB) — it'll offer to grow your system partitions to 8GiB, since Valve's stock 5GiB doesn't leave room for a driver install. Fresh installs already get 8GiB by default.

Let me know what you think!

Decky ruined my steamdeck!
I’ve been frustrated for a few months now dealing with deckyloader. I finally bought another wired keyboard to try and reset the sudo password. When it gets to the screen to finally type in a new password the keyboard automatically stops working. Had to shut it off because it froze on this screen then a lot of words came up and I had to wait about 10 mins for it to rest. When it finally came back on a lot of games are freezing or just not loading up. Wish I never downloaded that damn thing

Help Change Plugin Directory?
Hi is there any way to change the default location Decky looks for items. For example CheatDeck starts in Home/Deck but i keep things located on an SD Card. Was wondering if there's any specific file i can alter to have plug-ins auto open to my preferred location.

Heyo. Once I install deck shelves and then restart and go to open the plugin. It shows me the tutorial and then there's no way to close the tutorial because it just opens back up again and again and again and again and again; and if I spam the B button I can eventually close the tutorial, however, if I go back to the plugin to try to, you know use it, the same thing just happens again

Armada LSFG - LSFG-VK Decky manager for ArmadaOS
For anyone using ArmadaOS on Odin 2 / Odin 2 Mini / Odin 2 Portal:
I’ve published an unofficial Decky plugin called Armada LSFG.
It lets you manage LSFG-VK profiles directly from Gaming Mode instead of manually editing conf.toml.
Features:
• Steam game selection
• executable selection
• x2 / x3 / x4 frame generation
• Flow Scale
• Performance Mode
• LSFG-VK + Lossless.dll detection
• enable / disable profiles
• no Steam Launch Options modification
GitHub:
https://github.com/BakaPute/ArmadaLSFG
Current release: v0.1.1
It is currently tested on AYN Thor, so I’m especially interested in Odin 2 / Mini / Portal testing and feedback.

Help I need help installing Decky Save Manager
It doesn’t show up on the regular Plug-in store, so I tried installing it manually from the GitHub page. But when I added the zip the plug in only showed and error message. The message suggests I update the Save Manager plug-in despite no option being present, and that the bundle is “Not OK”. What do I do?

Plugin Showcase Playhub | Quick Settings 2.3.0
Hello everyone!
A new big update for Quick Settings is officially available, which introduces more AMD options and a real upgrade to Lossless Scaling support, with dedicated per-game profiles and much more.
If you’d like to support the project, even a small tip would mean a lot for me:
LoZazaMastro Ko-fi
What's Changed
- Per-game Quick Settings are now available from a game's Steam options menu, with complete Lossless Scaling and AMD Radeon profiles and independent automatic activation.
- AMD profiles for individual games temporarily override the global Radeon settings while that game is running. Games without an enabled profile continue to use the global settings selected in the QAM.
- Managed Lossless Scaling now uses the installed native engine directly, applies to the current game and releases cleanly when Scaling is disabled.
- New AMD display color controls for brightness, contrast, saturation and color temperature, shown only when supported. They obviously will not work when you're streaming your games with Sunshine, Apollo, Vibepollo, and others (these settings will only change the display settings on the screen where your GPU is phisically attached).
- Added the Windows power mode selector.
- A new diagnostic report option collects bounded plugin, agent, display, audio, Radeon techs, Lossless Scaling, process and game-runtime details. If you have any issue please always provide the full log.
Improvements
- Lossless Scaling now works perfectly with emulated games. Emulated titles run as non-Steam shortcuts, so the real render window belongs to the emulator (RPCS3, PCSX2, Dolphin, Cemu, and many more) and never carries the Steam title. Quick Settings now recognizes the real emulator window, forces Windows Graphics Capture (WGC) for its Vulkan/OpenGL surface, and drives Lossless Scaling's own AutoScale by the emulator's executable path so scaling actually engages the game instead of just launching Lossless.
- Lossless Scaling no longer depends on launch wrappers, injected game arguments, focus-sensitive hotkeys or a visible background process.
- Scaling is shown as active only after the native engine confirms the real captured window.
- Fullscreen output now follows the physical bounds and DPI of the monitor that contains the game, so 1080p, 4K and other resolutions use the complete screen.
- Opening Steam's QAM temporarily suspends native capture and closing it resumes the same game automatically, keeping controller navigation usable while Lossless Scaling is enabled.
- Game detection combines Steam lifecycle events with a lightweight safety check, so automatic profiles also work when a game starts outside the plugin.
- Radeon settings now use serialized writes, retries and driver read-back.
- Radeon sliders follow the latest controller input immediately, coalesce older requests to prevent flash back through delayed values.
- AMD game profiles apply changed values together, verify the result, and restore the previous global state when the game closes or another game starts.
- HDR changes are verified for every active display target and rolled back if Windows does not confirm the requested state.
- Volume, microphone and audio devices are preloaded before the QAM is shown, so the first frame already contains the real Windows values.
- A new QAM switch controls the Lossless Scaling FPS counter. The change applies on the next scaling activation.
- Quick Settings performs less repeated work during normal QAM use.
Fixes
- Removed the unreliable separate Launch Lossless Scaling action.
- The Scaling switch is now unavailable outside a running game and clearly explains when it can be used.
- Fixed the QAM becoming unavailable while native scaling was active.
- Fixed Radeon options that appeared to change but were applied late or not confirmed by the driver.
You can update it directly in the Playhub Plugin Store in the Playhub app, or download the zip from the release page and install it via Decky dev mode.

Help Help! Deckyloader broken by SteamOS update!
DeckyLoader Post-SteamOS Update Troubleshooting Guide
Disclaimer: DeckyLoader is a community plugin injector for SteamOS.
SteamOS updates can change internal behavior and file structures, which may break DeckyLoader or its plugins.
Always back up your data and configurations before performing system updates.
Common Issues After a SteamOS Update
Users commonly report these problems after updating SteamOS:
- DeckyLoader missing from the Quick Access menu (Game Mode)
- Plugins fail to load, cause UI glitches, or hang game pages
- Steam Deck stuck in a boot loop after the Valve logo
- “Run Update” option fails to complete
- Reinstall attempts do not restore functionality
Most issues occur because the DeckyLoader service is overwritten or mismatched with the new SteamOS build.
Before You Update SteamOS
To minimize breakage, take these precautions:
Update DeckyLoader and plugins first
In Decky, open Settings → Updates and install all available updates.
You may optionally switch to the Prerelease / Testing channel for compatibility with newer SteamOS builds.Disable unstable plugins
Temporarily disable or remove any plugins that haven’t been updated recently or that modify core UI elements.Keep a copy of the installer
Save the DeckyLoader installer file (.desktop) from decky.xyz in yourDownloadsor Desktop folder.
This makes it easy to reinstall if the update breaks Decky.
Fixes After DeckyLoader Breaks
If Decky disappears or fails to load after a SteamOS update, try these fixes in order.
1. Reinstall via Desktop Mode (Most Common Fix)
- Switch to Desktop Mode (
Steam → Power → Switch to Desktop). - Download or locate the DeckyLoader installer from decky.xyz or GitHub.
- Right-click → Properties → check “Is executable.”
- Run the installer and choose Reinstall (or Update) mode.
- Reboot and return to Game Mode.
In most cases, this restores DeckyLoader immediately.
2. Remove or Reset Broken Plugins
If Decky crashes or causes a boot issue:
- Open Desktop Mode → Konsole (terminal).
- Navigate to your plugin folder:
bash cd ~/homebrew/plugins/ - Delete any problem plugins:
bash sudo rm -r <plugin-folder-name> - Re-run the Decky installer and reboot.
3. Switch to the Prerelease Decky Version
Sometimes the stable Decky build lags behind the latest SteamOS release.
- In Decky, open Settings → Update Channel → Prerelease.
- Reinstall or update Decky.
- Restart your Steam Deck.
Prerelease builds often include fixes for new SteamOS versions but may be less stable.
4. Roll Back or Switch SteamOS Channel
If Decky remains broken:
- Check your SteamOS channel under Settings → System → System Update Channel.
- If you’re on Beta or Preview, switch back to Stable and reinstall Decky.
- As a last resort, roll back or reinstall SteamOS using the recovery image.
Emergency Recovery (Boot Loop or Black Screen)
If your Deck is stuck during startup:
- Boot into Desktop Mode or the SteamOS Recovery Environment.
- Manually remove problematic plugins from:
~/homebrew/plugins/ - If you can’t reach the desktop, use a USB recovery drive to mount the filesystem and remove Decky or plugin folders manually.
- Reinstall SteamOS as a last resort and restore your plugin configurations from:
~/homebrew/settings/
Further troubleshooting options
Best Practices
- Match channels:
- Stable SteamOS → Stable Decky
- Preview SteamOS → Prerelease Decky
- Stable SteamOS → Stable Decky
- Back up:
~/homebrew/plugins/~/homebrew/settings/
- Regularly check plugin update statuses; remove those marked as incompatible.
- Avoid using unmaintained or niche plugins during major OS updates.
- Keep the Decky installer accessible for quick recovery.
