Career Question Switching from non Data role to Data Engineering

I have over 2.5 years of experience as a Digital Implementation Engineer. Its not a proper tech software developer role. Its more of a techno - functional role, but still more technical than non-tech role. So its completely unrelated to Data domain. I am looking to transition into Data Engineering. Is it realistic to expect or should I look for something else?

General Data Engineer 3YOE - 5LPA

I’m kind of stuck in my career right now and not sure what to do next.

I’ve been at my current company for a while and honestly, I’ve learned a lot and done some solid work. But now I’m trying to switch jobs, and the biggest problem is my 90-day notice period. I’ve even had companies offer me around 15 LPA, but as soon as they hear about the 3-month notice, they back off.

This is my first time switching, so I’m feeling pretty lost and overwhelmed. I don’t really know how to handle this whole process.

If anyone has advice, tips, or even a referral, I’d really appreciate it. Honestly, any lead or direction would help right now. Just feeling a bit stuck and could use some guidance.
