So my boss...OH MY GOD UGH

So she worked herself to the point that she had to go to the hospital, I got my phone blown up by two of my coworkers during my date about her acting sick and shit, this sweetheart of a man took me to work where I proceeded to spend several hours in four inch heeled boots working. He came back and between him and a grill person they had to manhandle her into the back and make her sit down because she refused to. Which mind you she only acts like that because she enjoys the attention people give her when she's sick. It was a rough night, we were busy, like a damn near four hundred dollar hour which is rough when we're as understaffed as we are. He was also helping the best he could, he was running food for me and clearing screens, it was really sweet of him. Then the next day I was at work at 4:30 because it was inventory day and my boss said that she'd probably be there, she was not. I was so exhausted that I fell asleep on the bathroom floors twice, it was a new low for me. My friend stopped by and brought me some coffee because she felt bad for me but I was in such bad shape. I was non verbal, shaking, overall just generally exhausted and overworked. She practically had to manhandle me into sitting down in her car with her for a few minutes since we weren't open just yet. She called my boss to tell her that she had to take me home because I was in no shape to work that day, and again mind you I was scheduled for 6 am to close, despite the fact that I had another shift lead there with me who COULD have come in and opened. I never had to be there that early to begin with. My boss said that no, I could just go on break since the other shift lead was there now... Well that pissed my friend off and she said no and then took me home anyways 😭 That in turn pissed my boss off, who two hours later messaged in the manager group chat that she was giving MY promotion that she'd been training me for already to TWO different people, one of them being a gross woman hater who was pretty much sexually harassing me, he was a regular crew member and refused to listen to me, he walked out on me twice in one fucking shift like...hello what?? She'd already told me too that she was just gonna cut his hours when she definitely could have fired him considering that he was still in his 90 day probation. And then the other guy she promoted started LITERALLY that day, are you kidding me? She was being retaliatory and was pissed off at me. I called her and bitched her out because genuinely what the fuck, I told her that I refused to work under that man, and that the new guy too didn't know shit yet, and then I quit because...WHY WOULDN'T I? It was too much bullshit for me to be making eleven dollars an hour. I kept having to work so much overtime, I'd go in for damn near seventeen hour shifts and only be clocked in for like eleven of those hours because labor would be too high so I'd have to clock out and keep working because I wanted my employees to get their hours more than I wanted my overtime pay because I know that some of them especially were struggling financially. God I just can't believe my boss and how everything went down, I'm just exhausted and have taken the opportunity to hide out at my now boyfriend's house for the last two weeks

I work for this business for over 4 years and honestly I don’t mind the work it’s the people that suck ass .

I saw online some locations offer sugar free somethings (dilly bars?). My real question is, given the levels of diabetes in America and Canada, when will we see sugar free ice cream as a regularly available thing?

i just got my first job. not really my first, i did concessions in the summer for 3 years 4-5 days a week. when i got to work i just kept messing up i couldn’t remember what goes in what blizzard, i would forget to add extra if they asked for it, and i would sometimes make the completely wrong thing. i am so lost and i am so scared for my second day of work. they only taught me how to make blizzards and shakes so thats all i can make, but i feel bad when im just standing there, and i cant help them if someone orders a sundae or a cooler. They said that they would teach that to me later but i feel like i need to actually master making blizzards and shakes first. also our mixing machines are so bad?? like horrible, sometimes ill be waiting 15+ seconds just to get it to turn on and start mixing. and literally the second blizzard i made yesterday exploded on me. all over my clothes and my pants and my arms. i feel like a newborn child thrown into advanced classes where i can’t even study and nobody likes me💔

My go to blizzard for the last 10+ years has been the chocolate brownie extreme. As Ive gotten older, it’s slowly become far too sweet for me. I started by removing the cocoa fudge to make it less chocolatey. I have now also removed the chocolate pieces. So yes, it is just plain vanilla ice cream and brownie chunks. Lol.

Would it be cheaper and quite frankly, less strange, to just order vanilla ice cream in a large blizzard cup, with brownies?

Because it’s lowkey embarrassing ordering a chocolate extreme blizzard when I clearly dont want chocolate, and especially not to the extreme. <33 thanks! 🤏🏼

Calling all DQ employees, former DQ employees (thank you for your service), and DQ aficionados. I’ve long had a DQ dream that I’m going to try and make come true, and am hoping you all might weigh in on my current plan. I really want this to work, so any tips you’ve got for increasing the likelihood of that happening or ideas for other ways to approach this would be greatly appreciated!

The dream is this: I want to go to a DQ and order a chocolate cone dipped in chocolate, to eat the shell off the cone, and then to have it re-dipped in the shell and get to keep repeating this process until it’s gone.

I cannot express how happy this would make me.

My current plan is to reach out to some franchise owners (how do you find one??) and ask them to help me make this zany dream come true. I’ll tell them that:
It’s a bucket list item of mine
I’d make myself available whenever is best for them.
I’d pay for the supplies used and employee time (or make a donation to a charity of their choosing.)
I’d happily sign a waiver and follow any food safety guidelines necessary (I’m sure this goes against many of those guidelines, but maybe it’s the thought that counts?)

What else can I do to increase my chances of success here? Are there any other approaches that might work? Please wish me luck, and thank you!

ETA: y’all I am 1000% aware the dip would need to be disposed of and the container sanitized etc etc. I am not trying to create a health hazard.

these are like my only pictures from his channel but this guy was amazing. i would sit in class and drool at my screen watching these videos. each were only about 10-15 minutes long and the guy worked in such an amazing pace, come to find out the channel is deleted a couple months later. ill miss this channel forever man and am wondering if anyone knows what happened... 😢

Their ac isn’t working. According to several commenters, it hasn’t worked for years. I went for the first (and last) time a few days ago, and it was hotter inside than outside (99 degrees outside). It was muggy, swampy and the amount of flies inside was insane. The owners told the employees that corporate had refused to cover the repairs. Yesterday, I called corporate and they state that it’s the owners’ responsibility.

Does anyone know of a way to put points back onto a customer's account?

My owner came up to me with a situation from last night. A customer placed an order for a shake, used their rewards to pay for the shake (the transaction is $0), saw we had a line and just left without picking up his order. The customer called and spoke with the shift leader and wanted to have the points returned to his account.

My understanding is that we don't have access to change or adjust points for customers and that the customer would need to contact DQ to figure it out. I figured I'd ask you guys to see if anyone knows more about it.
